Is the M1 between the Air and the Mini likely to be actually identical? And therefore we will see what thermal throttling is doing when we compare the two?

MBP and MM likely run it at significantly higher clocks than MBA.

I genuinely don't know what I will go for now... the Air or the Pro. The fan-less benefits might win out... do I need the extra performance? I do mainly office type tasks. Let's see.

Gahh yes, its still a tough one. I think the Air is still going to be a fantastic machine... I think I will prefer the fanless benefit BUT the question is whether the software/hardware on the MBP will be smart enough to never even switch on unless editing 4K video or something very intensive.

I'm going to go for the Mini - I'm still a Desktop kind of guy, with big monitors - and just use the iPad for mobile.

Be interesting to see the thermal performance on the Pro and how hard the fans get pushed, can't stand how much the fans on my MBP spin up.
