How is swiftkey working on ipad pro? Does it lag when it's popping on the screen ? On iphone 6 or ipad air sometimes it takes 2s until it shows, sometimes it doesn't (or is it just an ios thing).

While you guys use safari and switch between tabs back and forth do they disappear and you have to wait for them to reload? Just checking is it worth to upgrade

The display having more features is a bit annoying, on the flip-side 9.7 inch has 2GB less ram which surprised me, the CPU has a lower clock speed too but doubt that will make much real-world difference.

I am really enjoying my 12.9 most of the time, there are times I wish I'd opted for the surface but there'd be times I wished I had opted for an iPad pro had I done, never satisfied :p

Hoping iOS10 might make better use of the large screen at times, though that is partly down to app developers too.

The 2gb ram was a deal breaker for me on the 9.7". If it wasn't for that I would be all over it. The RAM in the new pro will be fine for now but you will just find that it becomes a problem in a year or two. I have the original ipad mini and its lasted me 3 years but only because I don't do anything serious on it. Browsing the web on it is painful as hell.

The sad thing is that the lack of 4gb ram won't put off 99% of buyers and apple will keep doing this sort of thing to push their profit margins up on their devices. To be honest I'm quite stunned the iphone SE has such good spec for the price with apples usual tricks.

Hey all.

I fancy buying myself an ipad pro. Probably the big one. Those of you who have one are you happy with them and think that you can justify the huge cost ?

Tbh , it's gonna be just an expensive toy , a few apps , internet browsing , e-magazine reading , watching online TV etc , nothing out of the ordinary really.

Simply put i just really fancy one , do i actually need one is another question altogether haha.

All opinions welcome on your experience with them , cheers.

I was in same boat. I wanted a new tablet and I value screen real estate to bit the bullet. I tend to use my iMac anyway for anything that iOS cannot and rarely touch the MBA. My use case is like yours. It will be useful when cooking and in bath as well to watch stuff

May get a Skylake MBP anyway as well, but this will do for now.

Trying to justify one of these again :)
I have an Air 2 but really love the idea of a bigger touch screen to work with. I do photo editing on my current one, and think, with the Pencil, this could be ideal?

However I also have a Macbook Pro so not sure!

By the way, using the Pencil for writing, are there any good OCR apps to go with it?

Well, I took the plunge, helped by my Argos card as 12 months interest free :)
Wow, it really is a great tablet.
Just typing is easier now the numbers etc are part of the main keyboard.
Bought the pencil too and really pleased with that.
It does just feel 'right' and the response is near instant. Much better than some of the 3rd party stylus I had tried on the Air.

Not decided whether to keep the Air yet and use for work, or sell.

Have to say, the split screen multitasking is brilliant. I never thought I would use it but on a device this size, both sides are very usable.

It's pretty much how I use my device most evenings, it's incredibly handy for browsing the web and chatting to friends without having to switch apps.

Just got mine, initial opinion is that it is blazingly fast, but thats coming from a 1st Gen Galaxy tab, and a bit of time spent with my wifes Air v1. Speakers are also amazing for such a small device, though they are unlikely to get much use as I'll mostly be using headphones.

One thing that is throwing me, I thought that ios now had support for profiles? I can't seem to find any setting for this. Does anyone know if this is possible or not?
