**Apple Media Event - September 12th **

having been an iphone owner of every iteration since the 3G, im curious about tonight naturally. However excited I am not, especially if it turns out to look like all the rumours.

Everyone seems to be wondering wherther it will match or beat the Samsung S3, having had my apple coloured blinkers on for years now, how does the SGS3 beat the existing iphone 4S?

Like you I've been a long time iPhone owner to, but I did make the switch from iPhone 4 to the SG3 and honestly don't regret it, imo the SG3 beats the iPhone 4S in every department accept the App store, Google play just simply isn't as good. Lucky for me I also have a retina iPad :)

I'm hoping the parts we've seen on various sites are actually fakes and the phone actually is a total revamp.

The S3 looked nothing like the rumours we had seen before it came out, hoping the same for this phone.

I'm just hoping to take advantage of the frenzy over iPhone 5's to get myself a 4S to replace my knackered HTC Desire. It's currently £29 upfront and £29 a month for a 16Gb 4S on 3 with 500 mins and all-you-can-eat data. Is it tight fisted/unrealistic of me to hope that'll go down or you'll get a 32Gb for the same price with the release of the 5?

Good call getting the rate booked now, I'm just confused as to how I'm going to get a hold of a nano sim mid contract.

I spoke with O2, and they said they would just send me one, no problems if I bought the phone sim free from Apple. No extra charge. I think someone mentioned that Apple even have them in thir stores.

Give your provider a call, and find out.

I managed to pick up a 16GB 4S two months or so back on Orange for £25 per month, Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Texts and 1GB data so I imagine there will be some good deals soon.
