Apple September Event - 12th September 2023 @ 18:00 BST

Pretty much decided to upgrade my phone — iPhone XS 64GB to a 15 Pro 128GB.

Does anyone know if the trade-in values will drop when the new phone is announced?

Apple are currently offering £110 for my XS against a 14 Pro, but is that likely to be less come Tuesday?
Yep, they do.

When I was ready to trade my m1 mac mini it dropped by £85 compared to a week before the announcement.

I ended up selling it on ebay getting more.

When I went from an XS to a 13 pro I was surprised how much thicker and heavier it was. Would be interested to see your thoughts when your 15 arrives

Thanks for the warning. I've got a locked-in price with MusicMagpie for £119, so I should be sorted.

I'll come back and update. :)

Anyone else watching the clock until 6pm? :o

Feek has got 8 screens up with new threads ready to post. Lol
I only do it if other people don't, I'd rather someone else did it :)

He’s just waiting to fill in the “it’s got X and everything” part of the title.
Then I will go in and do this, yes, absolutely  (at the very least, make sure the format is the same as all the others)

Forget tonights event. It is all about the iPhone 16 now!

I was planning on getting a iPhone 15 Pro, but I had a long hard think and ultimately I much prefer Android as a mobile OS. As much as I think the 15 Pro will be excellent it will still be iOS like all other iPhones at the end of day.

I'll be waiting for the Pixel 8 it seems.

Its a pity that IOS doesnt do that cool little feature like the Pixel 2 XL did where it would be listening constantly and if there was any music playing it would show it on the screen. Lets be honest they are always listening so may as well get some use out of it.

It's that time of year again where I get one eye on the Apple event and consider a purchase, only to remember the decade out of date UI it's going to be loaded with - which is a pity because the build quality is second to none.

I was just watching a video about Android 14. I've never had a problem with Android. In fact when I had an Android phone I really liked it but I just prefer to keep things simple. The one feature on iPhones that is amazing is AirDrop. I use it all the time.

Android notifications are so good, iOS notifications literally makes me die inside.
