No one has proved they have used prior technology, why did ms license it rather than getting it overturned?

Everyone stills ideas. Otherwise win8 rt tablets couldn't exist, android tablets couldn't exist.

Apple never do something totally different, come on!

Copying ideas and giving them the Apple marketing treatment is how they make record sales.

The problem is, Apple get really sore arses over competition and love to accuse everyone else for copying them.

The point some one made about Apple praising Nokia and RIM as well, well, what do you expect? Nokia, nor RIM has anything to do with Android, and they've both lost huge amounts of market share.

Those comments were done purely for PR, as a way to trick people in to believe Apple are right with their claims. Them caring anything about what RIM or Nokia does goes as far as "have they lost any more marketshare?" and that's it.

No one agrees with the current patent laws. But the laws are what they are and the court can't rule on what th think.
No one has shown why in the current legal rate work, why apples patents should be discarded.
 
And yet people will still say that theirs no copying. This is going to drag out for years I expect. Probably get the price knocked down and a few infringements overturned.

The only similar thing is that they have a microphone picture in the background for a recording app. I have used both and they are not the same visually.

That up one is apdifferent, but agree the microphone one isn't the same.

They still implemented the bounce back feature, that IMO is the one least likely to be overturned. As it isn't essential at all.

Then there is the colour comment?? The reason why the white iPhone was a big deal,was well because Apple were only really using black for their phone bezels for ages.

OTH,plenty of other companies(Samsung included) had multi-coloured bezels cases and colour options for years.

And I honestly can't believe people are defending Apple over this, I've never been against Apple until now, it's pathetic what they are doing, they are patent whores, take everyone else's ideas and making them there own and then sue the very people they took the idea from, **** Apple.

Note the end statement on the ruling in Apples favor...

It may also seek to use this ruling to block other devices powered by Google's Android software that it believes replicate elements of its user-interface, including current models by Samsung as well as other firms.
