Aqua Computer Aquaero Owners thread

anyone have any suggestions/tips of positioning the temerature sensors also how do you stick them on ( what glue etc)

i want to control my fans but not sure of the best route , do i just setup one profile for all my rad fans to ramp up when the temps rise and if so which is the best position for a temp sensor , do i just rely on one sensor or have a few, i want to try and keep it neat in the motherboard area.

thanks

I use a velcro tie wrap to hold them in place.

Also I like to split up the fans, so they all don't get louder unless they need to, so if half the fans getting louder fixes the temp it's better than all?

Depends on your curve though, sometimes more fans getting slightly faster's quieter than half going a bit faster

Well, I'm watercooling so I focus mainly on the water temp at the pump inlet, then again at the furthest point from there.
CPU output can be good, but I rely on the reported cpu temp rather than the coolant at that point.

Coolant at a specific point never concerned me, it's more of an average I was seeking with my setup

I found that setting up the curve against CPU temp caused the fans to shoot up and down all the time (as CPU core usage spikes, temps rise intermittently). Using the water temp allows a smoother (if slightly laggy) transition.

I have my intake fan on one controller and the outtake fans (rads) on another, so I can set these individually depending on circumstance. I'm only in a 650d though so not many fans/rads to deal with.

I'd probably look at adding more curves if I had more rads - similar to what GP says above, I'd try and have the fans spin up in "blocks" so they aren't all running if they don't need to. This should ensure quieter operation at 25-75% usage level.

thanks for help, i gorilla taped 1 sensor to the exit side of my last rad before it enters the pump and i'll put another on the entry to the first rad which is after the second gpu.

what temps should i be ideally looking at for the water before it enters the pump ? obv ambient room temp effects it so if i say the rooms approx 22-24oc.

i love the rgb led you can set it up on a sensor input and get it to glow blue when everythings cold then gradually turning red when its too hot then eventually flashing red when theres a problem.

yes its the sensors aquacomputer supply in the box i think theres 6 of them.

i taped it directly to the exit of the radiator on a flat section so it sits there totally flat and out of view.

nice,
I'm sure it'll work, might have a bit of a lag with sudden temp changes, but I can't imagine it'll be much different from an inline sensor.
I don't think I've ever done that.... I've the inline ones.

Well I am not sure about the new Aquasuite 2015 tbh.

On 2014 I had x1 480 rad on perm (at 750rpm, ramping up when the cpu got hotter)and my 360 rad come on when the cpu temp hit 50c.
Front fans and rear fan set to go faster as the graphics card temp went up. worked perfectly in aquasuite 2014.

On 2015 I tried to do the same, but the 360 rad is perm on. no matter how I set it to come on like aquasuite 2014 at 50c it just stays on perm.

i saw a setting in the controller section, i think i forgot to add one of the fans into the controller bit i setup so it sits there at 100%

might be that or similar to that, have a look in that bit.

guy goes on about constant voltage to an led ( or fan ) i think if your fans are not added to a curve or in the above video bit they run at max voltage.

sorry if you allready know all this.

Thanks I already knew this. all my fans are added to a curve, as I said was fine before I updated to the new aquasuite 2015 lol
