Arc Raiders

i think they do need a way of pleasing both sets of players for long term player base.

Personally i would do 2 new maps giving 7 in total , then on rotation make 2 maps PVP ( turn off the abilty to kill another player in the other 5 maps ) and then in those 5 maps greatly increase the amount of ARC.

Also i like the missions and feel they should introduce weekly missions , these could be for 1,2 or 3 players needing to work together and can only be done in non pvp mode.
And watch the player base drop off a cliff. If you don't want PVP then you bought the wrong game.

The only change I'd like is an additional map event for free loadouts only. Think it would be funny if everyone was free loadout and about 20 minutes in all the ammo has ran out and people are swinging pickaxes around :D

I could get onboard with that tbh. Think it'd be funny.

It's not a great idea what is being suggested, the way it is now is what has made it so popular.
IF it stays like it is now it's ok imo. play like a psycho then get matched with others ,. play like one of the last survivors of humanity up against alien invaders and get matched with others - with only rare betrayals.

my concern is what happens when people get bored, will the balance which is there now disappear and it will just become another humans killing humans game.
I don't have much faith in humanity but I like to think in the scenario presented in arc raiders, where actually if people work together there IS plenty to survive and win that for the most part that is what we would do.

I think some people who have chosen not to fight other raiders will get bored, and that isn't a problem.

Their behaviour will change and they'll get their PvP murder-hobo lobbies in varying degrees depending on how aggressive they are.
And if they don't like it they'll return to the carebear lobbies.

I've already done that myself. From almost entirely friendly interactions, to complete kill on site, and then back again.

I'm sure many others have too, in both directions. Which makes me think the scenario you are concerned about is already occurring, and regulating itself.

So as long as the player base isn't split (by something like a PvE only mode) this balance will continue.
