Finally got in to the game last night, played for about an hour, I'm on Dahuta.
It does seem like it could be a really good game, the class system is definitely different and interesting.
But the combat... after Wildstar it just feels so clunky and dated, tab targetting is definitely hard to go back to after telegraphs.

Mounts level up when you use them, so just running levels it up. So they're saying if you put auto run on and jam a key down so you constantly move in circles you won't trigger the afk disconnect and you will level your mount at the same time.
So founders/patrons had to que last night for roughly 2 hours due to f2p players filling the servers.
I vote a system is implemented that kicks f2p offline in favour of patrons to give us elitists what we pay for
! I suspect the Patron/General que system was shafted?
I appreciate it was launch day and these things are always going to occur so take the above as tongue in cheek.
Hi Sega btw! I was on that trade pack boat ride. Dc'd mid way and bravely swam 70% of the journey to victory when i got back online. Took about an hour.

I think the US servers are, EU ones don't go down until later. 6 hours downtime though

NB, The only reason I'm not playing is due to no mouse invert, and not because I don't like the game, I tend to level one character, before deciding on a game, maybe not to max but least a week in.
Ill be going Patron anyway i think, I will just wait for the buff to be removed first .
My char currently has a bow attached to his back, even though i am using a sword not sure if this is intended or because in the beta i went archer and still using the same username

Hmm encountered a strange issue, trying to play and all im getting is a black screen now, was playing fine earlier till i went out and logged back in - server screen is fine, but once ingame its black - running an R9 280 with 14.4 drivers, windows 8.1, confusing is an understatement.
had that too press alt+enter to switch to window mode sometime before the loading screen appears.
another good one is when microsoft security essentials slows your pc to a crawl trying to scan archeages stupid file system that is a single 28gb file or whatever it is.
had to just add the whole archeage directory to the exclusion list something I've never had to do with a game before.
that only happened very rarely too.
500 man 40mins queue even at this time.... my game crashed must have crashed...
I'm switching to dx9 dx11 is clearly unstable and buggy as hell, all the textures start to go like low res minecraft crap after a hour hours from what I guess is a memory leak
paying customers should always have priority but you know how mmos are now everything has to be free for the schoolkids and losers.
archeage would have been fine without f2p imo

Cheers arknor, that solved it also the pc slowing down, mine was doing that too, just installed bitdefender to override the mse of windows 8 much better.
Seen lots of people in general chat talking about switching to DX9 too, ive noticed some textures flickering but other than that its been ok.

There is a small mod out by someone on reddit that enables borderless windows mode and mouse invert. Am at work so cant look now, but if you search borderless windowed mode archeage it should come up with the thread.
