ArcheAge, Ultima Online's rebirth?

I had some problems after I got kicked. I couldn't log back in. Found out it was my graphics setting stopping me from getting in. The game would crash after I selected which toon to play.

Updated drivers seems to have worked.
 
Can someone help me on this.

I want to do the trade quest you get. Have to make some dried food and take it to another province.

I have got some of the stuff I need, I can also get the meat from chickens that I can grow in the public farm next to the area which I'm suppose to make the trade goods.

I cant however grow grapes in this public farm. Apparently I have to go miles to a place called 'White' something to use the public farm there.

I found out that non payers cannot build a scare crow. I also found I can plant grape vine just about anywhere, will this be protected for any length of time?

Anything placed outside the safe zone is available to be taken, the best bet is to find a hidden spot and plant, then hope nobody takes them.

Also buy grapes off auction house. Personally though if i didn't have a farm i wouldnt bother with trade runs as you will forever be trying to get the mats.
 
I've played this briefly, is this going to be one of those MMO's where everyone jumps on the bandwagon and then within a couple of months everyone stops playing?

I had this, if you are using Microsoft Security Essentials you need to add archage directory to the safe list or whatever.

I imagine it will have a healthy player base for a while, the main level 50 zone isn't even open yet and there is still so much to do.

Proper PvP hasn't started.

I think people are playing ArcheAge because that will not be the case. They haven't opened the endgame up yet. And it isn't really a race through to a destination it's more easy skill levelling and then doing stuff when you get there.
 
I've literally no chance to play after I get home (7:30pm) before I go to bed :p

Going to have to install Teamviewer and get in queue at 5pm!

Not too bothered though, I smashed at least 100 hours in to it between 12th Sept to 22nd! Nice to have a break
 
What happens if you just leave the game in a queue, and go AFK? When you get in, do you get booted off if you don't enter the game?

I believe so, they patched that last night so you couldn't. I imagine it's 5 minutes before it boots you like it is ingame now.
 
well it doesn't seem to be too bad. 2.2k queue but estimated about 40min wait time which isn't too bad considering before the patch that would translate into many hours!

Of course the flip side is being booted for supposedly being afk but I'm sure they will change things up come the new servers.
