Arctic Freezer II - product alert

Can't really fault artic for
The way they have handled the situation
Reminds me of the support I got from swiftech years ago
Most people realise now and then
There might be a problem with something
It's how the company deals with it that makes the difference
Artic will get a lot of good publicity from the way
They have dealt with this I would think

Was alerted to this by a friend as I have one of these. I can't fault Artic for the way they're dealing with it, unfortunately as my anxiety and self esteem have become more of an issue over the past however many years, this is something that I could have done without.

I think they're also offering
A replacement unit
Or you send it to them and they replace the part
Those may take time though
If I was affected
Given they seem to be dealing with this really well
I would contact Artic and inquire about them shipping you
A replacement unit first
Then you return yours they can only say no
It's a simple job for a lot of us in these forums
But obviously that doesn't mean everyone is comfortable
With doing it theirselves

Checked mine and its not affected, but I've asked for the upgrade kit anyway as I need to pull the pump off to disconnect the vrm fan as it does my head in.
I think they retrospectively applied it to all of them
So even if you bought a unit when it only had
A 2 year warranty
It will now have 6 years
So yeah you probably have a decent chance of getting the
Repair kit
Same thing you might as well ask
They can only say no you're not affected by it

I am hoping that I can leave my 420 rad in place and just ensure the block is kept raised above it whilst changing the gasket. It should work........famous last words, lol.

The Tubings probably long enough to do it
Pc lying on its side probably way I would try
Though I would probably look
For something to hold the block/pump while trying that
To give you 2 free hands
Not something I would recommend someone doing
But probably something I would do myself lol

Yea they are offering replacements. But doing anything with my PC at the moment isn't the nicest experience.

Do they still have the serial number checker up? I couldn't see one when I looked, all I saw was select the product/country/date of purchase boxes and that was it. Or if someone has the link to it could they post it please. TIA.

Just looked
And I see same as you
No serial number checker on there
Just product,country,date of purchase
There may be another page for it I guess
But that's the one I found

Edited
For some reason the link takes you to
The product landing page
Not the support page I got it from
But sounds like we were looking at the same page

I know you're right, just hoping that I wouldn't need to do that. Not a biggy tho.

Thanks for reminding me of the better choice
If you watch the video, the kit comes with what looks like ~50ml of fluid to top up the loop with... I wouldn't want to risk dropping the cold plate and having the whole loop empty!
