Are petrol stations having a laugh?

Petrol (and diesel) will still be needed for a long time for things like generators. So they are unlikely to tax it in to oblivion. Obviously you can't have a battery powered generator. You might just end up having to buy it off a shelf instead of from a pump. Paraffin used to be on tap once upon a time.

I imagine they might do a tax reduced diesel for agricultural use? Maybe dye it red to help control its use? Could even call it red diesel.

Dude Costa Rica can run huge demand off batteries, let alone MANY festivals with battery lorries and pop up super chargers. Moving liquid fuels around to similar use is turning into a right pain.

JC out.

And later on something else has to recharge them. So they aren't generators.

Like filling up the generator fuel tank ?

The more Ev the better. Can leave the liquid fuel for those who enjoy it and let those who just want a vessel to transport them use the electrons.

Just the nature of the refining process will mean petrol and diesel will always be available. Jet Fuel will be needed for 30-50 years at least. In fact needing less petrol and diesel could in theory push the price up of air travel as the Jet Fuel will become a lot more expensive to produce as it is not offset by the profit of Gasoline. Just like the many other wonderful things that oil produces.

Nope govt going the opposite way. Red diesel has now being banned except for agriculture use. You have to use white diesel in generators now.
Surely that's one of those things that will never be checked?

Farms do get random checks I think, but if you used it in a small generator you'd probably get away with it. Or in a car which doesn't get MOTed.
Sorry I was thinking more generators, although I'd imagine the savings time as I doubt generators have 60 litre tanks and are on all the time:p.
