are we being embarrassed into not taking our change?

I'm not. Not getting change is like giving a tip, not warranted unless exeptional service was provided.

The only time I ever say keep the change is getting a takeaway at my door or getting out of a taxi and I don't really care as I just want to get inside/eat my food.

Always get my change, and I put the majority of it in my jar :D

I always get my change handed to me with the receipt. Why should you be embarrassed about it? If you bought a car for £2995 would you let them keep the £5?

Indeed normaly most stores are fione and hand it over without issue.

It's the little **** shops that try it on for god knows what reason. one of them looked at me like i was demented when i was stood there waiting for my 5p change before he suddenly "remembered" :/

I've never seen this either. The nearest you get is charity shops putting a change tin on the counter and sort of nodding towards it. But they still give the change to you, along with the decision.

My bank Lloyds ofer a save the change savings thing.

basicly anything i spend the bank rounds it up to the nearest pound.

suprising how much you can save a month by doing this, I anticipate £10 - £20 per month.

to me this is the same as change, I sometimes feel okward waiting for a penny, but its my penny and pennys do add up after time

No branding on it. I'm sure a Google will find it pretty quickly though? :)

Quite cool as when you unscrew the lid, it changes to 'Withdraw' and you can enter the amount you've taken out :)

I own one of these jars.

Only problem is they sometimes register 1p's as 5p's and vice versa due to their similar size.
