Are you a good morning riser?

heh days when it's important (lab days etc) I wake up on my own before the alarm, even if horribly hungover/still drunk, then manage to get dressed wash etc and walk to uni/wherever in about 30 mins, not bad considering it's a 15/20 minute walk :D

Other days though I wake up early (which i love doing) purely so i can lay about in that half awake half asleep state for an hour before getting up,

love to spend weekends like that, just sleeping putting on some scrubs or easy comedy, and slipping in and out of blissful dreams,
where i remember what happened think it over then go back right into it, I instantly forget it's a dream once I'm in it and it's like an awesome interactive movie/book/game, I love lazy days in :)

It's truly a pleasure...

Yup I can get up within a minute of my alarm going off, that way I get to sit watching the telly in bed while I eat my breakfast, and then get up, dressed and out of the house by 8 o clock. I have today off though because its school holidays (forgot to turn the bloody alarm off its set to go off every week day  ), so I am typing this from my bed, and wont actually get up until about 10am.

My alarm normally starts beeping at 05:50 and I'm normally out of the house then by 06:25 to be in the office by 07:15. O try and get to sleep by 23:00 and then it's not to bad a nd I'm normally awake just before the alarm goes off. If I've had to many nights during the week when bedtime has slipped to midnight then it will become a struggle by the end of the week but I don't think I've ever slept through the alarm.

I used to have to catch a train at 05:45 a few years ago and that was a bit of a struggle then by the end of the week.

I am awake at 06:30 everyday, irrespective of whether I have somewhere to be. So waking up has never been a problem with me. Once I am awake, I will never be able to get back to sleep - so i have the opposite problem :( I would love to be able to have a lie in but my body clock doesn't comply.

Ever since I bought a foam memory mattress topper, my sleep quality improved loads. Before it, I really struggled to get out of bed, now I'm pretty much awake before my alarm goes off and don't feel sleepy. Recently I also bought a sunrise alarm clock which wakes you up by simulating a sunrise before the main alarm goes off. I give that a thumbs up too.
