Are you addicted to buying games on Steam?

Buying games on steam no
buying games yes
last count I had 800ish retail copys my steam has 1012 games but many of them are indie games

No.

But then I am very fussy/choosy about games - I only buy the few games I know I am going to play/enjoy.

I have a few regret purchases which I have not got my money's worth from - grid, fallout 3, bioshock 2, borderlands 2, to name a few.

But overall I have very few games on steam - I mostly go for the guaranteed AAA titles such as skyrim.

Nope. I don't buy games unless they are on sale / have been out a long time. By then the tweaks and patches will have sorted out the main issues, and if it turns out that I don't like the game, well...it's been worth a punt for the three or four quid I've paid for it. The same goes for hardware.

I play those games! Any time I get bored of my games I pick one up and play it all the way through. Have discovered some serious gems that way.

Games owned 146

I still like to buy games, thou i rarely ever have the time to ever play them. :( gettin' old i guess. Family to attend too.

Possibly.

I've spent well over £200 this month on games :/

I have two steam accounts because one got banned, then later unbanned. The 2nd account my gf uses on her laptop.

800 games, 498 unplayed on main account :/

Girlfriend has just banned me from buying games till new years.

wow just wow.

Never understand peoples obsession with throwing their money away on Steam?

If a game is released and its 50+ pounds we get the omg's rip off. Then spend 2k on games and not even play them !

Gabe loves you all.

Used to be a few years ago until I realised that I buy games and then don't play them. The last game I bought was Amnesia: Dark Descent when it first came out and i've still not played it. Not bought anything since and don't plan to as i've still got too many games in my Steam library to go through.

193 games owned in just twelve months on Steam.

I'm a very naughty boy.

Even if I guess at an average of £3 each that's near enough £600, or £50 a month.

Oops.

Last Purchase I made was Van Helsing II: Complete Pack on the 28th Sept for £7.49 (They gave me voucher)

Liked the last one but found this one boring so I havn't played it much at all :(

So no, I am not addicted to buying games, I would say I am somewhat done with buying games from steam

Meaning you now get them elsewhere when you do want something?

I have a GOG account and Origin, but not bought anything from either just yet.

Thats quite impressive. I've managed to amass a measly 230 in ten years by comparison!

I'm going to put it down to over-enthusiasm on my return to PC gaming and trying to catch up on what I missed.

I'll calm it down now. Honest. I haven't the time to play them all anyway.

The one bonus is that by the time I have time to play new releases like Far Cry 4 or DA Inquisition they too will be £3.49 :D
