Are you afraid to play certain games?

I never finished Fear, but that was half because it was boring :p. Duke Nukem 3D used to scare me, but that was because I couldn't get the sound and video to work at the same time, so I couldn't hear when things were coming!

Max Payne creeped me out. There's a dream sequence where you're in a pitch-black room with nothing but a blood trail maze and the sound of a baby crying. Creepy.

Love scary games...still playing Dead space and it still scares the living **** outta me:p. Another game i thoroughly enjoyed was Condemned the first one...bloody scary that was...the second wasnt so enjoyable i have to admit. Also found Fear and Fear2 pretty scary as well.

I played Silent hill the new one and found that boring as hell and Resi 5, played the demo and didnt find it all that scary either.

Dead space rocks though...some pretty scary moments from that game...really got to make some more time for it.

I like eerie games. Scary games are just annoying.

My best moment ever though was on stalker - SOC where you encounter a bloodsucker for the first time in the underground section. I've never cacked my pants so much, or been so tense. Ever.

Just started playing Doom III and that is quiet hair raising, it's when you see the orange eyes appear from no where and the little lanterns swaying from side to side heading towards you, made me jump a bit, had to stop playing when it got dark on Saturday and the missus had gone out. :D

How good are the Condemned games and Dead Space for jumpy moments? I really want to get some games that are scary as films don't give me this gratification any more. and is the first Silent Hill game scary? Might get that.

I recommend the condemned games. I haven't tried the PC versions, I'm sure the first came out for the PC so if it were me I'd try that. Dead Space is a good game also though I found the Condemned games a little more frightening. Most people on here seem to have found Dead Space very creepy but that feeling left me quite early on and I just ploughed on and enjoyed it regardless.

hmm. for me playing horror games adds thrill to your
life.. :)) your brother's pretty funny.. maybe he has
phobia to scary games or something? or maybe
his overactive imagination just won't stop.. hmm.
who knows.. but playing those kind of games make
me excited and thrilled. :D

Just like how some people love Marmite and some hate it, some love the adrenaline rush of being scared and others hate it. Watched a movie called [REC] last night, first film in years to actually scare me more than a computer game has.

Dead space was scary for the first few chapters then just turned into mass mob action. No fear then.

Resident Evil 2 had to be turned off after a licker jumped out a mirrored window. :(

Haha, when i was younger it was watching the original resident evil being played by my older brother (mainly the first undead introduction) it trigggered Night Terror (Sleepwalking in a nightmare), although i soon grew out of it it still took me a few years more before i picked up the game again to beat my fears lol

Cannot play scary games at all, they make me really uneasy. I bought Doom 3, F.E.A.R and condemned, knowing this fact. Can't of played more than 15 minutes on any of them :(

Didn't used to be like that as a teenager though, must be getting old

i hated those crying baby things on doom 3. ergh. and the spiders.

Dead space is the new survival horror king, silent hill is a bit meh and resi isn't survival horror any more.

Long live the new king tho tbh, scariest game i've played since silent hill 2.

Are you 8 or something?.....seriously im not having a go just dont know how you found dead space scary in the slightist!..

Errr, not sure what to make of this tbh, probably the most ignorant comment i've read in a while.

Believe it or not people react to things differently, i personally get very tense when i play scary games and watch scary films. I love the experience as it's all part of the fun but i'm not at all ashamed to admit they scare the crap out of me.

I'm 24 btw so cheers.
