Are you doing anything with Hue?

I'm new to the hue set up,got 2xstarter kits and 3 amazon echo, got some e14 to e27 adaptors for smaller lights, all working superb, easy to set up as well.

Has anyone tried adding another 3 bulbs to the set ?

I cant get the app to find the new ones at all, tried the serial number as well.

We've added another 8 bulbs to our starter set with no problem, have you synced them properly with the hub?

Sorry Schizo, I only checked my emails this morning and noticed your Trust message. Glad you got it sorted! :)

3rd gen are the "Richer Colours" bulbs. Will say on the packet and the bulb base should be white with the writing in gold. The older 2nd gen had silver bases to the bulbs.

What down-lights are people using with Hue?

I got 4 x hue gu10 white ambiance in the recent amazon promotion for a tenner off 50 quid spend.

The dual packs were 45 quid each, added some tea to make it 50 then took 10 off, used a friends discount to do it twice which made it effectively 70 quid for 4 of them.

Not cheap!

Going to look at getting a motion sensor for these lights in the kitchen as well.

is it worth getting a dimmer switch and if so where is the best place to use it.

i have an echo dot and just bought a hue starter kit from argos using their 25% discount voucher.

just wondering if would need a dimmer switch if you have an amazon echo dot

The dimmer is just a physical way to turn the lights on/off without using a phone or Alexa, so it's only as useful to you personally as it sounds.
