Are you obese?

6 foot 1 inch

Weigh 13 1/2 stone. I have no idea what 1/2 a stone is in pounds so I just put 13 stone in that BMI thing

Your BMI is 24.01176

If your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9 you're an ideal weight for your height.

Pure muscle me, hardly any fat at all.

"People who are 'apple-shaped' rather than 'pear-shaped' are more at risk from health problems." LOL

Your BMI is 18.20672

If your BMI is less than 18.4 you are underweight for your height. Are you eating enough calories every day? People who are underweight may be at risk from health problems, including loss of bone density, malnutrition and disrupted periods (women).

Its a fine day to be fat!

According to BMI I've overweight, have been since I was about 13. All of our family are pretty big people, not unhealthy big though I'd like to add.

Currently I'm 6,2 and about 16stone. About average for me.

5'10", 12.5 st, BMI 24.82266

I have a 32", toned waste, and I spend 10 hours a week in the gym. Theres not an ounce of fat on me, but I'm nearly overweight? :P

I'm obese, I'll get over it. My BMI is 30.35. BMI is only really useful in population studies, on an individual basis it's pretty rubbish. If you're an athlete or play a lot of sport you're probably going to be classed as overweight. Andrew Sheridan's BMI is 31.2952 accodring to his England player profile. Quite frankly if I had his build and strength I'd be very happy, he's abnormally strong.

6'1" and 9st 12lbs. I win.
6'1 and 9st 11lbs!

I've fought with my scales for ages to put on weight and found if you try and eat loads but don't like exercise, you won't gain jack.

I weighed around 9st 5lbs a month ago and after weight lifting, an eating routine and biking/walking to and from places, i'm closing in on 10st without even thinking about it.

I do get days when i just will not eat anything and it doesn't help that I have an on and off smoking habit.

edit: paranoia set in as I posted, so i weighed myself and i'm actually 9st 13lbs now, 10st here I come! :D (really shouldn't of got digital BMI scales)

BMI is a pile of crap if you don't take into consideration body fat %age or muscle bulk etc...

I'm 6'1" and 14 1/2 stone ergo "overweight" which is a pile of rubbish - ask anyone that's met me.
You're just a big huggable Frenchy :p

Try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. To improve your health further, stop smoking, cut down on salt and high-fat foods and limit your alcohol intake.

Dam NHS website must have a usb cathode on me or something.

5'6 and just under 9st = OK

which is weird as when my body fat was assessed they recommended I lose 5-10lbs which would put me at severely underweight for BMI. If I lost 10lbs I would be very sick looking I think.

Also they don't take into account frame. I have huge norks, and if they were normal sized I think you could take a few pounds off the weight.

Bah.. what do they know, I feel healthy and that's the best judge.
You know your own body best.
just goes to show how much OcUK has grown up that no-one mentioned this bit
ofcorse if it was a guy there would be calls of "willy waving tbh", wonder what the female term is?

As has been said... I could be 5'4'' and 11 st of pure muscle (which of course, I'm not)... that'd make my BMI as 'overweight' when in fact I'd be perfectly healthy.

Yeah its very rough, based on average muscle percentage etc.

Good as a rough guide though
