Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

Teamspeak is a voice channel program.

You share a room with other people playing, its very clever now because it will link to the game and only let you hear people within speaking distance on that map or for example in the same tank.

Once you die you can discuss the game with all other spectators till the next round

?? If im not mistaken, its the ACRE mod that does the above i have hughlighted

If I buy the two pack thing on steam for £30 do I need more DLC, reading this thread and about ARMA2 on and off for a while but no one I know plays it, might just look for a decent casual clan and get playing. Sounds phenomenal.

Two essential parts is arma2 and arrowhead or if you buy both at the same time its called combined arms.

The other dlc packs add in fancy models and missions but online wise this isnt essential, the game will use low res models if you do not own the DLC yourself

Yep basically, the new thing TS3 did over 2 was add in this feature and acre develops it for Arma and adds stuff like radio distortion over mountain ranges which is slightly more cool then the acoustics of someone speaking in their bedroom

i personally cant justify the price of the DLC's as you can get tons of mods and custom missions for free via the mod community.

if the DLC's added new game features or engine enchancements, i would be all over that

I'd really like to get into this as i'm bored of BC2 and other titles just dont have enough depth but its a nightmare trying to figure out where to get started, do I just skip everything and go straight for Arrowhead?

you need to buy both or buy Arma 2: combined Operations, not sure if they released a combo pack.

The reason you need both as you need all the islands.

Ive got into ArmA 2 and OA due to some of the lads in the PR clan I help run. We play mainly co-op missions about 5 or 6 of use some times 8. atm I host the ArmA server as I have the best net connection. Seams to max out at 8 players but thats good for most of the co-op missions.

We mainly play BF2:PR mod and run one of the most popular servers. If you want to come and visit or get some small co-op ArmA sessions stop by www.nwa-clan.com the PR server runs full from abotu 10am -3am UK time. Nearly always with a *NwA* admin on. We also use mumble but you will need the offical PR mumble (modded) client.

Or use the new OCuK mumble to get togeather and host your own ArmA coop session its not hard and dosent use that many system resources. Who ever is on and has the best conection dose the hosting.

We are a big clan so you will always fined some one to have a game with.

Midweek Madness on steam has arma 2 for £3.99, Combined Ops for £17.99 which I strongly suggest buying

both DLCs are only £4.79 I say only buy BAF as the PMC we don't use.

http://havoc-company.com for some proper Arma 2 operations with 20-30guys each sunday. (some training is required)

Op Arrowhead is £11.99, and Arma 2 is £3.99,
Combined Ops is £17.99

I did the silly thing and bought Combined Ops, could have saved myself £2.
Nevermind still a bargain.

Just a heads up anyway

Its very good but only if you play it first time with some one who knows what there doing. esp if you try out the ACE mod.

The boot camp is boaring to start but a good overview if you have no mates to show you the ropes.
