+ 1 This, the point in which i stopped playing the SP campaign was becuase of a mission where i had to control people. Never did get past that mission!

Yeah same here lol.

Its the only thing that really annoys me about the Arma games. Sitting in a vehicle and trying to get everyone to board their respective vehicles, until you realise that you will never get everyone to do it...
 
Upgrade

Hi everyone, wonder if I can get some help. With the system in my sig i am getting 25-40fps at best. I am looking to upgrade the graphics card but form some reading it looks like it might be by processor thats the problem. I was looking at a 770 or a 280x. Is there any point? will i see much imporvement in FPS on Arma 3?

If you have not already i would OC your cpu.

Only a very small difference. These games have always been heavy on the CPU and even with the best don't expect the best performance. Back in Arma 2 a gfx card upgrade gave me a few extra fps, when I upgraded from old AMD quad core to a 2500k, the fps nearly doubled.

Just try and squeeze everything you can out of your CPU, remember though it can also depend on the server you're in, the mission you're playing and the amount of things going on in the background etc.

Im mostly playing MP in annex or braking point. My FPS is fairly low and was thinking a new graphics card would help but apparently not.
 
Last time I played coop with ai the performance was never that great. Not sure about Breaking Point as I don't play it.

As mentioned before, you need to squeeze as much as possible out of your CPU. My i7 950 @ 4.00GHz, 5870 and 6GB system still manages to get 50+ fps on well made MP missions/servers on mostly high settings.
 
I'm hoping this create arma competition brings out a new complete WWII mod. If it was like Red Orchestra 2 but with the scale of arma it would be awesome.
 
Upcoming expansion will be free to those who bought the supporter edition (as well as the DLCs as previously promised). My mad moment last march still might actually turn out to be a reasonable investment yet...

Future 'standalone' expansions will extra though.
