Dunno if anyone plays KOTH but they have just released a RHS version using the red hammer studios assets.

Have never played anything online on Arma3 and I've clocked up about 400 hours of game time. Madness.
When you press the tilde key and open the player menu theres a code box
Enter "rhs" and press enter
you will get double xp for an hour. Its probably worth saving it towards the end of a game when you are on the winning team, then you will get a crazy xp bonus.

They have wiped normal KOTH so every 1 has to start again from level 1
Frustrating as hell considering the number of hours I had put into it to unlock weapons.
Suppose its a good time for anyone new who wants to start it.
Did KOTH get updated? I stopped playing a year or so ago but enjoyed it. Got a bit repetitive camping the towers.

And have they stopped squeezing as many gameservers as possible onto one physical server yet?
Shame it's such a good premise for a mission that you can jump in to quickly but let down massively by the inability to achieve even a steady 40-50fps in the heart of the action.
I'd genuinely re-install if the performance has increased.

A while back their server files got leaked so a load of dodgy 150x xp servers popped up.
So they have updated to version 10 which stores profile data online, every 1 starts at level 1. They have made some other changes, the main one is how end of game bonuses work. They are more individually based which should stop people always stacking red. They have also added some new vehicles and weapons but changes are constantly being made to balance it.
They have also broke away from hostile take over, it seems we may end up with a fork by hostile take over using old profile data. In some ways the variation is good but personally I think they are fragmenting the community with too many different
versions. Not sure if the player base is big enough for them all.

The big gaming orgs like hostile take over etc servers were like that. I never tended to play on those there were a few smaller German servers with 60 slots that seemed to perform allot better. I think allot of its just down to game engine limitations its never been very well optimised. That kind of performance is asking allot for any multi player mission on Arma.

Exile doesn't have zombies as standard. So it depends on the server and if they are running the zombie/demons mod.
Its usually indicated in the server name if they are pve or pvp, there isn't a option for it.

What's the best way to get into ArmA3? It seems a bit overwhelming from the outside!
Is Apex edition necessary?
Is there game modes where you can hop in for an hour or two for an evening?
Is there game modes with realistic military scenarios and decent squad team work?
