***ArmA 3 Thread***

Got work at 3 so hopefully can set this to download and then play it when i get home.

It looks so stupidly good from the videos, haveing been away from Pc gaming for a while, and just playing on consoles, i'd forgotten just what the Pc can do to be honest.

As soon as one of us get home tonight to get it on the server.. Then yes mate we will have it on!

Really can't wait it's gonna eat peoples lifes more than Arma 2 currently does.

I've heard Marker its only gonna be restricted to 16 player servers has this be confirmed ?

Not confirmed mate, gonna have to wait until back of one I suppose, but by that time I will be in work until 9pm.... :(

Hmm he mentions about PP in the article. One thing about arma 2 and ironfront etc was that you had to turn off PP to get rid of motionblur. I hope this is somewhat fixed and is a separate option now as id love to have pp on and maxed but blur off.

Aint too worried if i cant max it out as its alpha so it doesnt mean i wont be able to in the final release.
Cant decide on what version to go for, i guess it would be cheaper in the long run to get the £60 version.

Hopefully the developers do this. If not, wait for Okt-NoBlur.

For a guy whos never played Arma 2 will this be a easy start?

Thanks

Probably. However, remember that it's still only an Alpha. I recommend purchasing the supporter edition, which includes the entire ARMA series for £60.

Duno i mean if you want all the dlc then it might be cheaper in the long run to get that. If you could sell the arma x bundle thing to others that could net you some cashback possibly tho not sure if doable. For me tho 20 quid version would be my limit for a game i dont know if i would play a lot. Grab dlc when on steam sales if possible if there was to be any i fancied down the road.

Btw about the alpha, will it be added to during alpha or is that what u get and only get during alpha and to get more weapons or whatever you would need to wait till the next phase "beta" for new additions to be played with?

It'll be easy to get the basics down quite quickly (movement, shooting, completing missions, etc). Things like flying, commanding troops, making missions etc may take a bit of time to get to grips with though.
