Don't know what was going on last night with my FPS, it wasn't great.

Just set it at default Ultra, turned off post processing was getting 20-25 FPS at 1920x1080

Specs

680 4GB
16gb Ram
i7 3770k 4.3ghz

:(

Set it on very high and still sitting around 40-50 FPS mostly

Try turning visibility down a bit. Boosted my FPS tons.

Just ordered, can't wait to get home and try it out, worried about my 2500k and 670 though when some people on here are struggling with 680's.

Nothing wrong with the CPU m8 that will last for a couple of years yet, no idea about your GPU though. I get 50-60 FPS on high settings with AA and PP off on my 6950 :) So if your card is better you will be just fine. Some people do struggle with high end cards I have noticed, just because it is Alpha or new drivers are needed.

Someone needs to gift me a Oculus Rift ASAP so I can enjoy this to its full potential! :)

Loving the improvements made to this. Going to fire up some online play tonight.

Is there a definitive list of OCUK servers people are hosting?

Yeah, I think everyone is getting a little hung up on performance at the minute. There seems to be a wide variety in performance. Some lower card performing better than top end cards. BadBoy has TriSli 680's and was getting worse performance than me on a single 580.

The game is in Alpha and has only been for one day. It has not been optimised and Nvidia/Ati have not yet released drivers. The BIS guys will already have a wealth of data based on yesterday to wade through and look to make improvements.

Be patient.

Okay bought this but haven't had a chance to play. Just watching videos :(

One question always comes to mind, why the 3rd person perspective for a game that's geared more to realism? Do soldiers often have outer body experiences? Just seems like it would take away from the immersive nature of the game.

Some cards may perform worse than other because the usage on the GPU may not be the same. I've enter a server today with 10 + player and the GPU usage was just 20%+ with FPS around 24-25FPS. The CPU wasn't under a great deal of load, so it's just the game doing it's nasty thing. It was the same thing in ArmA 2. Last night I've played another session with ~ 10 people and it was just fine.

Distance is also a factor, greater render distance will decrease GPU load and with it, FPS. There is some serious need for CPU optimizations in order for the game to properly use the processor.

Soldiers have a greater FoV and due to their senses, the better perceive the world around them.

You don't have to use it, you could play on a server where that feature is disabled.
