***ArmA 3 Thread***

Cmon BI dont let us down. Im so excited about this game. Its everything arma2 is lacking (dont care for the future stuff but im not fussy) the water, the ragdoll/physx it sorely needed, current gen hardware considerations (cores, 64bit, dual cards etc) and especially the server side improvements, the multicore serverside usage is a joke.

Can NOT wait!
 
WOW! just watched the video above, you mill simers must be frothing out the gash to get your hands on this. Sadly I'm not into the hardcore-ness of the ArmA series so I'm quite jealous.

If you watch the video he says that 'in their universe' it wasn't scrapped. It's a simulator of the future that could have been in warfare.

I don't mind what vehicles they have totally fictional or not. As long as the usual good game play is kept I'll be happy.
 
Arma 3 i cannot wait, same as BF3
Me too. The only downside to BF3 will be the heavily scripted and linear SP campaign, the BF3 mp will open the game world some i would have thought?. Most military themed games developed by DICE now remind me of the Bad Company series inc BF3. But i guess BF3 will be a great fun sofa shooter, as i once heard it said? :)
 
The Arma series is helping move the FPS genre forwards towards the MMOFPS.

Huge Sandbox, Realistic Vechs and weaps, decent (at times AI) and a huge amount of permutaitions.
 
sure is with incredible mod support and community support. decent prices. PC only makes use of that expensive hardware (arma2 starting to show its age mind, but arma3 will refresh that) Makes me look down on all other FPS games from my arma tower of superiority now.

I also like that the number of people you can have on a map is determined by the servers performance. its not locked at 64 players or 32
its 1 player to however much your server can handle.... be it 64 100 500...
