***ArmA 3 Thread***

Wasteland is fairly ambitious and script heavy without the overhead of using it on a broken buggy alpha. Throw in such an early game release and its going to be fraught with issues. It will get better with time no doubt but at this stage its a pretty tall order to expect a mission like wasteland to work flawlessly.

You know what I mean! Its an alpha, stuffs missing, stuff doesnt work. Wasteland is a complex mission. Which is why simple missions are working fine but the big ones like wasteland can be full of issues.
 
I have never tried Wastelandd but is it just me or is it basically DayZ without zombies?

Thats exactly what it is. you have 3 teams opfor blufor and independants.

Independants are "free for all" but the rest are single teams. And its just a big PvP persistant fight.

It can be tactical, it can be silly, it can be tedious and it can be fun.

Only started playing wasteland a week back, I am starting to enjoy it more then the DayZ mod atm.
 
Tried that development beta build thing out and where at the start of the inf solo mission, i normally got 50fps or at least over 45 i got 30fps. So took dev betas back off and i think it replaced the updated files with original but im verifying files just to be on the safe side.

Not worth any new files if it causes such a bad fps loss from that tiny patch it gives you.

The dev build did increase the size of the compass tho if anyone is interested. Tho i still cant see the numbers at a glance i still need to move my head right next to the screen lol. No point imo of increasing the size of the whole compass it needs to just have the dial more zoomed in instead.

Edit - meh fps didnt go back to what it was. Tis better but not as it was before. :(

Anyway, this has been mind ****ing me all night. Finally got it working. Probably wont mean anything to most but I am chuffed with it!

My head has been gone all night also... Just jumped ff there just now..

But I do now have selectable landing zones for each helicopter. It was a pain getting nice routes to each lz...

First part finished, got a couple of scripts to write, that will spawn in the defence groups at the second task...

Then another couple for a few ideas I have, hopefully have another vehicle or two in before in finish it..

Yep that was me mate. RPG 42 sniping is the way to go :D We got them at the weapon cache, but it was the only weapon my friend had so he ended up using 4 rockets to kill 4 guys haha
 
Is the 3d editor in the alpha or is that going to be in beta or full release. I heard it was going to be implimented but as i found that alt and e is for 3d editor in arma 2, it isnt working when i do it in arma 3 (was a long shot tbh).
