Same for me mate, on the first map the draw distance was relatively low due to the poor weather (fog).

I think that must have something to do with it.
 
Turning off HT I get 100% CPU usage at all times and that at 4.76GHz

Wonder if turning on HT will help improve things

If you were on our server, it changed to the small town map? I think everyone on the server was crippled on that mission!

The game looks great but what sort of performance should I expect from a Phenom II X4 965, 4 gigs of RAM & a 7950?
1920x1080 res'

I admit the CPU is a bit long in the tooth :(

It's weird isn't it, it's like it's performing some of the tasks on the CPU more than the GPU which is capable of doing it. When you lower the settings it offloads the jobs such as the shadows to the cpu (I think, I could be totally wrong) hence not that much change in performance.
 
Hi me and a friend have just got the game and done a mess around mission, was wondering if there's any good servers we should be trying out?

Our server IP is 94.76.250.72:4302. TS IP is 94.76.250.72. We have loads of missions that we are still trying out. If you have found one then just say and I will put it on for us to play on. Currently just put on "Pistol Carnage" :D

Running it @ 4Ghz so maybe?. I trawled through the thread and found only one other person with the same cpu, but they had a 560ti or something.
Has this alpha already had an update since the launch version?

There was an update earlier today, I thought i had boosted performace on my system. Went from 30 fps and 56% GPU usage to 60+ and 98%.
 
Had a play last night, seems pretty good, view distance is very good too.

Also tried a few vehicles, quad sounds like it's running out of fuel when flat out (revs going up and down a lot). Heli's seem easier to control.

Seen a few wasteland servers up too.
