You need to select a role on the left hand side and then you can click OK! ;)

Yup, figured it out in the end :p

Btw how do I differentiate between friendly and enemy soldiers ? They all look the same to me :o

Many times I have been Team killed (TK), but have resisted in shooting soldiers, in case I TK friendly soldiers lol.:o Its all new to me :p:D
 
Decided to gave 30 mins with you guys.

Total noob to the Arma series and wasteland. Logged off, i think i need more practice.

If they have a space helmet, shoot it. (if playing blufor) if playing opfor then if they dont have space helmet, shoot it!
 
I really don't know what to set the extensions to on my short cut as I see some have been doing so? Anyone got a link to what each extension is and what values I should be putting?
 
Right this is mine

"C:\Directory\arma3.exe" -maxMem=8192 -cpuCount=8 -noSplash -nobenchmark

I have an I5 so cpucount=8 and 8GB memory hence maxmem 8192, the others are really for getting rid of that naff start ;)
 
It's a lot smoother, less laggy, but as for frame rates hard to tell as they are anywhere between 35 and 45, sometimes i've seen 50!

Still better with post processing off than on mind you ;)

Thanks mate, so I'm guessing for my 6 core I'd due cpuCount=8?

Is there any command to make it use more of my graphics card as I'm SLI with 4GB VRam in each.

I stupidly installed the developer beta. performance dropped dramatically for me. Day 1 and Day 2 of Alpha my GPU was using 95-99% utilization. After installing the update my GPU now uses 25-35% it sometimes maxes out at 50%. My frames have dropped almost in half and in multi-player, the game is no longer smooth as it was.

Disabling the developer beta updated my Arma 3 again but it appears to have not cleared it completely as I am suffering from the same issues :(
 
Not sure if you scroll over the options it should tell you which one it is.

It's on high as a standard i believe, i turned it off

OH AND

adjust the FOV it makes a massive difference :)
