** Arma II - tweaking & troubleshooting thread **

Well, we are getting quite an ARMAII reputation. What with the server's popularity, our own domain and the OcUK community.

What the hell is up with the mouse lag? Even at 45fps I get it. And moving the mouse vertically it barely moves, but moving it left to right it's very sensitive. Makes it unplayable.

Definitely something wrong with your settings there.

I've played around with the Logitech mouse settings, and lowered the game settings, and it's still there.

Has everyone else fixed their mouse lag problems?

I bought this game at the weekend, played it for 15 mins...

I won't be loading it back up until the mouse lag is sorted, it screws up aiming all together.

Maybe im too used to Counter Strike, which is perfect.

Are you by chance referring to the floating zone which is there for a reason? If you can't cope with it, turn it off or reduce it to a level you can handle.

This isn't counter strike (thankfully) it's intended to provide a realistic representation of modern infantry warfare.

The floating zone is something to do with the body movement is it not? That's not it.

Here's a video of the problem (not mine)...

As you can see, the game is slow to react to the movement.

I don't see anything wrong. I've turned off the floating zone in my settings.. but wheres the problem? The screen moves appropriately in relation to the characters body, arms and head position..

Did you play OFP?

Your are correct it does move appropriately in relation to the characters body, arms and head position, it just does it with a fraction of a second delay compared to the mouse input, as the vid shows.

Used the leaked catalyst drivers and I can run it on very high on
Powercolor ATI HD4850 1gb
AMD 7850 Dual core 2.8ghz Black edition @ 3.1ghz
and 4gb 800mhz ram.

Changed everything in advanced to very high and it worked smooth for me :) no mouse lag or anything

but for the demand this game produces I thought the graphics could bebetter.
