I'm up to the Scorpion and T-62? I think currently. Both T3

Struggling to see how I can unlock the Brit T5, it has some weird requirement of deflecting X amount of damage but that seems mission impossible playing the Scorpion :)

Keep fighting in your Russian line, the turrets on them bounce a lot of shots if you can get hull down, you'll unlock the Chieftain in no time. The task is dealer specific not country specific.

Yep, already tried that (see post #93)

It's baffling is what it is. It's not like it's Windows that's having the problem either, it's the installer that throws the error up.

Have you tried running the installer in Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 compatibility?

Is everyone playing this solo by the way, or do we have some kind of clan up?

I noticed a couple of people with tags on their end of their name so I assume this is implemented.

Had my first set of rage battles last night, had 5 in a row where I just couldn't get a win even though I performed OK myself, thankfully moved over to PvE and calmness returned! What a great addition the whole PvE thing is; you still get to fight and earn creds but it's far less rage inducing :D

I only play PVE unless the gusy in my Clan play.

Currently biggest toys I have are the Leo1, M60, XM800T

The Xm is awesome fun, love it - fast, mobile, great recon and when it engages them it can just shread them apparet - leo1 full health to dead in one circle

Made it to the Swingfire over the weekend, my first T4.

Its the first missile vehicle I've got so its taken a bit of getting used to. The damage seems "meh" for such a long (15sec) reload per missile which has dampened the experience somewhat.

I've tried absolutely everything, but in the end it's beaten me. I've just created a C:\Games folder and started to install it there.

From the wording of that error it sounds like the installer hasn't got permission to write to the Program Files folder. Don't know what group it would be but try giving them all full access in the security properties maybe?

Swingfire is a terrible thing, it is highly situational, if you somehow manage to get the right map, dumb enemies and good team-mates you'll do quite well in it but most of the time it's a world of pain in PvP, and just forget it in PvE.

Haha I have to get past it though to get the Fox! :D

Definitely seeing more credits roll in with the 0.10 patch yesterday and a couple of PvE tasks I've not seen before that tested some of the teams I was on.

Yeah same here however I was surprised to see they have stopped me playing Hard missions with my T4's, now its a T5 requirement. Odd considering my T4 were perfectly capable the day before... :(

I'm so impressed with this I have just bought the Collectors Edition and I've used the Premium Time and 2-Week XP Bonus you get with it to grind out that damned Swingfire to unlock the Fox, what's bizarre is I got into some good habits eventually with the Swingfire and could pull in easy 5-6K Dmg depending of course on the Maps, City Maps and the ones inside tight spaces like the Refineries are a big struggle with it sadly.

Anyway I got the Fox and just keep dying in it, it is very, very fragile.. It's a lot of fun but I don't think I've survived a single PvE Mission in it yet, the stuff at Tiers 5/6/7 hit very, very hard.

I also unlocked the Chieftain Mk.5 which is an awesome, lumbering beast!:D

I am in exactly the same situation doofer in regards to free-xp'ing the Swingfire and unlocking the Fox at the weekend.

You have to be very passive, if you are spotted dive for cover and don't continue unloading your clip. It also improves when you get the turret upgrade as you can contribute a lot more damage with the missiles (it has x2 like the Swingfire does). Id recommend putting an armour/hp upgrade in the Fox's universal refit slot to boost survivability a little.
