US: Arrow - Season 3

To be fair, I think they do have an overarching story and a main enemy (Ra's Al Ghul), they've just taken a bit too much time to introduce him.

That was my point that they are taking too long. 8 Eps in and while we know Ra's Al Ghul is going to be the bad guy he isn't yet. So far he has been mentioned a handful of times and had screen time of a total of 30 seconds. Hopefully things start moving soon as second half of S1 and S2 were brilliant and I want it back to those levels.

That last episode with the cross over stuff as well as flashbacks was all over the place, terribly implemented using a recap from the Flash ( which im not watching) into this.

They are losing me fast with this season. This season is all over the place.

Can't say I disagree. There's lots of dots, just not many of them joined. Sarah's death, Malcom Merlin's reappearance and training of Thea, Ra's Al Ghul, Laurel training to take on the Black Canary mantle. I hear Manu Bennett is returning in the second half of the season too.

I enjoyed the crossover, but I hope the next episode delivers the focus that has been lacking for a few episodes now. We haven't had much movement on this season's plot since episode 4.

Erm.....

clearly he's not dead (although how can you survive that) otherwise there wouldn't be more episodes to come.

I said this series needed to get going, well it certainly did that with last night's show

Lazarus Pit is my guess too, though what that will mean for Oliver Queen I don't know. He may come out a different man (in an emotional/mental sense).

I'm glad they...

made the fight short and decisive showing how fearsome Ras is. I was expecting them to play it out that Oliver nearly beat him but ultimately didn't which would have been so wrong.

Bloody hell!

Doesn't Ras stay young because of the Lazarus Pit?

Yes they was used on Batman too. Ras stole the body's of Bruce Wayne's parents and threatened to use the Lazarus pits to bring them back to life and kill them in front of Batman.

I'm betting either Slade Wilson or Malcom Merlin will take Ollie to the Lazerous pits to heal him. I don't think Ras intended to Kill Ollie and there is more too it than just the fight.

Maybe.....?

6 weeks to wait for the next episode, then it would seem the next three are about Laurel. Do we really have to wait until as late as the 11th Feb for some answers?

That ending :O

Also, Ras looking good for his age, "the first man I killed, 67 years ago".

He killed his first man when he was 11.

The last one he killed was 67 years ago.

He's old. Very old (see the Lazarus Pit reference - this is why he refers to Oliver as a 'boy').

Interestingly, when Malcom Merlin turned out to be alive, the Lazarus Pit was my first thought. It seems that could be the case. I just hope it doesn't become an excuse to kill major characters off every five minutes.

I thought he said that "The last man he killed in a duel to the death was 67 years ago", not the first man that he killed.

Gotta say, the look on the Oliver's (as the Arrow) face as Thea busted out some moves and then just jumped over the balcony was epic.
