US: Arrow - Season 3

hahaah atom man was around way before iron man :D if ur gonna compare atom man with anyone its ant man..

Even so, with Iron Man being predominantly the de facto machine aided flying badass in a suit to pretty much most of the entire populace, and most people not having a single clue about the timeline of Atom (or caring a single jot I might add) it just smacks as a Blue Peter style rip off. There will be no changing this opinion for the most part.

Even though I have read the backstory surrounding Atom, it still makes me cringe when anything remotely to do with him is featured in Arrow.
I'd prefer if they kept the Metahumans away from it all too tbh.

The comic book origins and story lines are irrelevant as what we're talking about here is a comprison between a TV show character in a red flying metal suit and a movie character in a red flying metal suit.

The Arrow TV representation of Atom looks like a crap knockoff of the MCU representation of Iron Man. The specific back stories of each character doesnt come into it.

Don't see why people keep saying this like it's relevant. Why does it matter who was created first when it's that character in name only. Ray Palmer on Arrow has nothing beyond the name in common with the Atom of the comics. He does however check pretty much all the boxes against MCU Tony Stark. So if they reinvent Ted Kord as a Flag wearing supersoldier with a shield he won't be a Captain America rip off because he was created first right? How about Billy Batson turning green when he gets angry, not a rip off, he was created first.

Apparently having jack and **** in common with the character means nothing, it's just about the name and creation date right?

Is it strange I completely forgot to watch this...and still haven't bothered.
Seems this season really has annoyed me.

I'm going to stick it out for the season finale, but then I'm done with Arrow and Flash. Theres far better TV out there to watch.

Arrow has been pants ever since Oliver stopped killing people.

I am hoping he joins League of Assassins and gets back to killing! I also want the team to get back to just Dig, Felicity and Oliver

Yup, it's like fight club where only two can actually fight and the others are there for comedy value.

Plus the whole city doesn't know about Fight Club, unlike the 'secret' lair!

This will never happen. Blame The Flash.

The Flash is aimed at a much younger audience than Arrow. With the crossovers that younger audience will have now spread over to watching Arrow too. They cannot go back to the original vigilante, gritty, killing bad guys Arrow of the first series as their audience is now full of 5 year olds.

I even liked it when he was just trying to not kill people, but it kinda happened anyway - Now he's just a badass that's scared of hurting people.

I do enjoy The Flash as well btw, I just wish they had kept the 2 separate.

I'm very quickly losing interest in the Arrow. Compared to last season, this one has been awful. I feel like the writers have completely wasted Ra's al Ghul as a villain. He had the potential to be just as compelling as Deathstroke, possibly more so, yet they've kept him on the periphery of the show for the vast majority of the season, and this whole Oliver taking over as the Demon's Head storyline seems a bit ridiculous to me.

On top of that, they've gradually made Felicity a much less likeable character, to the point where I find her actively annoying now, and they've marginalised Diggle too. To be honest, it seems like the writers are running out of good ideas for this show.

Yeah, it's heading downhill quickly. Vampire Diaries with a bow and arrow. They've lost sight of what made the show great (i.e. it wasn't a crappy teen drama).

I'm enjoying The Flash more to be honest.

I Agree that S3 has been nothing on S2 or even S1 for that matter. Ras just hasn't been a proper bad guy. He just appears every so often and does little (apart from the Thea part) to actually warrant the threat he apparently poses.
