US: Arrow - Season 3

Pretty sure he called her Mia.

Mia Dearden is the comic book 'Speedy' and Thea's full name in Arrow is Thea Dearden Queen. Kinda wish i hadn't looked that up now as until now i'd been picturing her becoming a villain.

That what i dont how the shows going to pan this out. There already is a Speedy (althought he not referred to) so it could still be the case.

Yes I meant Mia. And as for "Speedy" for Roy. Don't get too attached to that. He'll either be Arsenal or Red Arrow. Two other names he goes by in the comics.

Actually he was Speedy then Arsenal and then Red Arrow. As i already mentioned in the show they will most likely spin this out differently of course

ps - could u please use spolier tags if your going into reference to the comics or anything that gives anything away in the show. There quite a few people who are "comic fans" here who are just as familar with the characters without going in depth. ie your comment in the other thread about "Ronnie and his nuclear form" comes into mind :confused:

it does mention on wiki that Mia was the second speedy so i'd already guessed Roy was going to move on from that. I think i'd still prefer her as a villain though, the idea of that gets me more excited than being Arrow's sidekick for some reason, i think perhaps because i can imagine Thea as a likeable one rather than just another evil character you're supposed to root against

your probably right, a concern in the show is that they overload the heros side with so many characters and then cant produce enough "good" villians to fight and balance out. This "Superman" syndrome is one of the things that can spoil the story if nothing the bad guys can do can really hurt or kill them, this imbalance can make story stale and predictable. So it be intresting to see which direction the show is taking introducing and developing so many recognised characters

Conerning the villians I believe the Flash spin-off will have solved this as I doubt the particle accelerator effects were just contained in the other city some effects are bound to have suped up some starling citizens.

DP - i have a feeling those villains will be contained to crossovers rather than recurring characters. It will add some to the Arrow series but i imagine briefly.

That's a pretty good point actually and would make a lot of sense, didn't even think of that.

I thought this season has been pretty crud so far. Its lacking the action and pace of the previous two seasons that I'm beginning to lose interest.

I hate Laurel - man she is one fake woman - all that plastic surgery is making her look like a witch!, and felicity is a bit meh tbh - you man need to up your standards lol

her 'tech talk' is quite funny.

Katie Cassidy looks just the same as she did before to me tbh, perhaps lost a bit of weight. As for Smoak, it's not always about classical features, Felicity oozes sex appeal every time she moves.

Your GF/wife must be some stunning supermodel.

Looking at some of the pics she actually meant to have been more fitter, leaner and stronger but yeah she just a little too skinny compared to her sister who i thought was a lot more convincing and appealing too

Man u guys must really love her, dont get me wrong i totally agree but all of you just cant get enough of her. She did look stunning in that red dress. Ok scratch that me too

Sarak worked as black canary but Laurel doesn't seem to work, maybe after some training scenes things will be more settled.

Yeah wasn't as I expected but hopefully he plays him alright.

Next weeks episode looks a bit boring, but maybe it'll be good. Quite enjoying the flashbacks though.

Yeah, Matt Nable who plays Ra's needs to work on his accent a bit better. The Aussie twang is very noticeable.

Next week's episode is titled "The Secret Origin Of Felicity Smoak". We meet her mother for the first time!

The fighting getting a bit crap in some places. Arrows pivot kick against Merlyn looked so half arsed and the completely unnecessary flip on the car for Roy protecting thea.

Still love it though
