ARRRRRRGHHHH Armpits are on teh fires!

Got some of this stuff. Agree its epic, but man it hurts!

My girlfriend works in a Pharmacy and she found an alternative. Its called Perspirex. Its not at strong so you have to apply it more often, and it stinks a bit funny when you first put it on, but there are no armpits of fire moments!

Might be worth a try for those of you with burning Driclor armpits of death.

If you work out more (jog, play a sport or work out generally) then surely the excess sweat is filtered out naturally this way so in an everyday normal situation you would not be sweating?

Not always, one of my mates by a far stretch isn't fat. He resorted to this as he sweats a lot.

Respiration! I hope not! ;)

Hmm, I could swear they were linked in some way, maybe not :p Still a vital body function.

I doubt it.

I don't. Slim doesn't = fit. You are sweating because our body is overheating (or maybe under undue stress), therefore your muscles are having to work harder at whatever you are doing. So unless it is something that requires hard work, you are "unfit" (I use that broadly) to do that action at an easy rate.

When you don't sweat in your pits, your body still needs to cool, so will just give you sweaty balls, ass crack and feet instead. Hardly a compromise IMO. :p I guess it could also be something to do with all the un-natural fibres we use in clothing, not letting the body breathe?

I'm pretty damned fit, but do sweat day to day, but that's because I do things at 100Mph, bike everywhere and am usually wrapped up too warm for my own good. :D

Tried this Driclor last night, it stung slightly, not as bad as some of you women make out!

Today, I decided not to put on any deodorant to test it out, and after a day of 10am start moving chip bark, uni and work, my day finishing at 1am I've encountered no sweat and smell fresh as a daisy.

5/5 so far, lets hope tomorrows the same! :D

Never even heard of this stuff before, I don't think I'd try it for the reasons mentioned already, just seems a bit wrong to be blocking stuff up like that. Scary stuff :o

How come you have to use it the night before?

you use it the night before because while its working your pits/hands/whatever need to be dry

its wetness and moisture that causes the burning ! supposedly if your lying down you dont sweat at all. which makes it a perfect time too apply

Okay guys just thought I would update you on things.
This is the third night I've used this product. Application stung slightly at first but seems to have settled down now. Noticed that underarms are slightly dry*, perhaps moisturising might help this?

Today was pretty busy for me, had uni in the morning, back home, quick workout, then I take a BB group at night, as you can imagine with 20 of you in a small hall for 3hrs running about, it gets pretty hot, I'm proud to report that I've not sweat at all today when I usually would be by the end of the session.
I think that tomorrow nights application may be the last for a week or so, see how I get on and if I start to sweat then I'll reapply.

But I have to say, if you are able to take the initial "pain" then it's definitely a worthwhile investment.
Personally I found it slightly nippy, but nowhere near as bad as expected then after a about 20mins the pain was gone.

I suggest you try it and you will be amazed with the results.

*Not as in the good way lol

I wanted to take a small bottle of the stuff on a friends stag do, to prank the stag with on the way home, but the best man didn't approve :/ Driclor over his body, whilst handcuffed to a lampost would have been fun!

big bump here, sorry guys. But I suffer from sweaty man syndrome, completely forgot about this stuff over the summer WHEN i did need it and just remembered the other day. After looking at 3 different products, Certain Dri, Driclor and Odaban I decided to try Odaban. Ordered from Amazon £7, once it comes and ive tried it I will let you all know!

Stupid question but do you use this special deodorant because you don't want to sweat or you don't want to smell? I'm not sure they are the same.

You need to sweat but you need to contain the smell.

Driclor is amazing. Simple as, the more you use it though, the more you need to use it I have found. Seriosuly though, use it and endure a couple of uncomfortable nights in a row and you'll be dry for weeks. Amazing!

To answer above, I use it to stop the sweat, when I do sweat I don't smell fortunately, but obviously it's not nice if you're wearing a grey t shirt or something!!!

I've used Driclor for a while now and it does indeed work amazingly.

I've never had the stinging that almost everyone else seems to experiance though. I always make sure i am completely dry under my arms before applying and then only apply once i'm in bed led down (i'm sure the instructions say to be lying down, as you sweat far less from your armpits when horizontal or something!).

Wash it off in the morning and the jobs done, never had anything more than a brief slight itch at most.

One night applying it keeps me totally dry for a few months too, great stuff.

I still can't last a night with this stuff. It's not just the pain, my skin seems to slightly split as well. Spraying deodorant on them the next day feels like pouring vodka on an open wound. Bad reaction to it. :(

Google the drug - Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate - it gives you details on how to apply it on certain sites eg drugs.com which could help reduce discomfort.

That stuff sound naaasty
