Really good bye for arsenal, looks an awsome player. But what i dont understand is why united are paying £12mill for saha and not even consiering buying a player like reyes. I dont understand what fergie is thinking:mad: I just bloody hope saha can score 20 goals a season every season (which i doubt)

The main reason you haven't gone for him is because you have Giggs and that Fergie is very interested in Arjan Robben from PSV. You could have used someone Reyes upfront but Fergie probably wanted a proper out and out striker.

The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking we won't see the best of Reyes this season. Judging by reports, he undoubtedly has the skill, but it could be tough on him mentally at first. Leaving his home town behind, he is now in a completely new country and has a new language to learn. Not to mention the huge climate and culture changes, all adding to the settling in period he will have getting used to his new teammates and communication etc. Then remember that the English league is a bit more physical and high-tempo than in Spain, he probably will take a few hits and nudges in his early games which he would be expecting a freekick for over there.

As I have said previously, the gigantic transfer fee means that people will be expecting massive things from him immediately, perhaps even waiting for him to fail so that they can quickly dub him a massive flop (like happened in some sections of the spanish media when Beckham went to Spain). In a way, they would be partly justified in that for £17m you might be entitled to expect the finished article.

So all in all I will be reserving judgement on him until he plays his first full season for the reasons I detailed in the first paragraph. I would advise fellow Arsenal fans to do the same, just pretend he is a summer signing who arrived a bit early :) No doubt we will have to put up with a big barracking from Mancs the first time he has a poor game, but hey, no doubt they will be cringing the first time Sahahahaha skies one over the bar too!

Here's hoping I'm proved wrong and he takes the prem like a duck to water, coming off the bench to score a hatrick on sunday heh.

True, like you said he will need time to settle in. He has all the tools to adapt to this league though.

Wenger sees him as a striker, so he will convert him from a winger into a proper striker. I remember when Henry signed, he was saying the exact same thing and gave Henry a run of games upfront. Went quite a few games without scoring then scored that stunner against Southampton.

Well imo, it's finally the shift of power from Man Utd to Arsenal.

I wouldn't quite go that far!

LOL :D.
I'm not a united fan, but that's nuts.

True. Having won THREE TIMES more trophies (ignoring mickey mouse ones) than MU in the past couple of seasons, and doing better than them so far this season, it's pretty obvious the power had already shifted.

:D :D :D

Well, I'm right. Laugh it up lads, but I'm right. :)

I've always been 100% that United were the Premier team in England and were proud of what they achieved, and always been on their side in arguments. Even though Arsenal won the leaguea couple of times in recent years, I've still been 100% that United were the better team. They aren't any more.
