Arsenal v Villarreal + AC Milan v Barcelona (Spoilage)

Villareal have some proper cheating **** though..
I noticed that last night.
Thats one of the reasons im not overly keen on Spanish footy myself.
The players often throw themselves to the ground, dive, try to get opposition players booked, time waste & generally cheat.
It happens in every country, but watching all the footy i do, the Spanish are by far the worst offenders.

Are the highlight on now?
No, i got a sattelite that picks up foreign channels, there was a channel showing the match but it scrabbles after about 5mins of the start of a half and then comes back on 5mins before the end of a half. End of the game they had a clip of what happened and didnt look like he done anything (it was only quick though, so not 100%) highlights on 10.15 SS1. And Pigeon, from what i saw he didnt go down easily, could be wrong though, have to watch the highlights now.

Not seeing your biasness there? Arsenals games thus far havnt exactely been steller, but will be seen as amazing in the eyes of the nation because they've progressed. Chelsea vs Barca was boring. Lyons games are allways interesting.

And your not bias towards Milan... your perhaps one of the most biased posters on here :p After all you get your thrills from boring defensive Italian footie :D :p

Perhaps going to both the Arsenal games against Madrid and Juve made them seem better, but nothing this season has come close to Arsenal v Juve game in terms of atomsphere or action. All imo of course so it can't be wrong

:)

Interesting match tonight, Milan had enough chances to put one or 2 past Barca. Cant understand why Shevchenko's goal was disallowed, seemed to happen just as Larsson was coming on:confused:, it wasnt a foul nor was he off side...probably because the free kick was taken too early but then you cant hold Milan responsible for that. a lot of teams/players including Henry and Ronaldinho take very quick free kicks.

Anyways im happy with Barca in the final, will be a tough game but at least it will be a showcase for 2 of the best players in the world right now, Henry and Ronaldinho....already the prospect of these 2 have me drooling with glee :p:D

Hopefully Arsenal will play much better than they did last night against Barca or else they will find themselves in a whole lot of trouble. Saying that though my money is still on the Gooners to win it:)

I have to say BoomAM, if anyone is showing bias, it's always you. You'll never have a bad word said about Italian football. Barcelona were the better team tonight, but not when someone wears these:

lol.
Says the supporter who lists 2/3 of his teams knock out games as the best games! lol.

Prehaps. But either way, i dont personally think that the performance against Madrid was all that special, and the one against Juve wasnt the most engaging encounter either. Arsenal played well, but that doesnt make it a good game. Imo of course. ;)

i prefer italian football over spanish.

I hate barca.. and whenever i see them all the commentators cream themselves when they see ronaldinho on the ball.. barca is still a team.

I consider milan as a 2nd team so obviously wanted them to win.... bit annoyed at the fact they could have won tonight.. but nevermind

LMAO

Quality picture :p

AC Milan didn't look all that interested until the last 5 or so minutes.. strange.

I don't know why they played like that, I mean even if they had gone all out on the attack and Barca had scored Milan would still need 2 goals as they did to begin with.

Arsenal V Barca final then..

Get over yourself mate.
I stick up for Italian football because everyone over here still think that its like what it was in the 80/90's. When its nothing like that anymore.
Most people here comment on Italian teams yet havnt seen enough of Italian football to form a respectable opinion.
If you want to accuse me of being bias, go ahead, but Barca hardly played amazing tonight, and were matched all the way to the end. A fact shown not only by the score line, but by the fact that both the pundits & commentators even admitted. And after all, in this forum, those two groups know more than us lot! ;)

Can never be sure with him. It does sound like it was a harsh sending off from the comments by some people on the radio.
Maybe he did go down a bit easily, and there was a slight swing of the arm from him aswell. From what i heard on the radio i thourght he would get off with an appeal but not too sure now.

I'm not sure how people have figured out Barca were the better team tonight, I'd say both teams were below par. Not much was said about the disallowed goal, I can’t see one thing wrong with it! Typical SKY Sports, now if it was an English team that had that goal disallowed they would be uproar!

Like I have said before I'm not that really cut up about the result. Barca have got to the final and it should be an enjoyable one at that. I'd like to see Barca take the title now but if Arsenal do it it will be an amazing achievement, because the way they have gone about it is nothing but spectacular.

I've been watching a fair amount of Italian football and saw Roma play Lecce at the Stadio Olympico and it's certainly a decent league. High standard throughout from what I've seen, and certainly not as defensive as it once was in the catenaccio days.

Milan aren't the only ones missing a final this year. Luis Garcia will probably miss our FA Cup final.

Liverpool are appealing against it but it appears that the ref has yet to overturn one of his decisions.

Didn't see the Barca Milan game as I was watching the reds. Surprised it finished 0-0 in the Camp Nou though. I always thought Barca would turn on the style and hammer Milan.

Shame, Milan scored a perfectly good goal. Why are the ref's wearing the new head gear if they don't even use it? It wasn't even close to being a foul.

I wouldn't accuse you of being biased, I'd flat out tell you you're biased. I don't believe I've ever seen you come out and say something along the lines of "god that Italian team were rubbish tonight, they deserved to lose". There's always something.

Couldnt agree more....its funny cos in the PFA awards thread Boom was slating Gerrard (saying he's overrated) when it was Milan team that wanted to buy him at the beginning of the season!!
