Obviously we don't know what's gone on behind the scenes but perhaps Wenger could have kept his job if he had played things differently.
He only had to accept that he was now head coach. Talent spotting was Sven's job and Raul is the director.
He could still coach the team, and Sven would improve the squad with his 'diamond eyes'.
Wenger could still have been in the job for a few more years.
Unless:
A. He refused to have two if not three people telling him what to do.
B. They finally got fed up of Wenger's inability to coach the defence.
I feel somewhat sorry for him. As I'm sure he would have stayed at Arsenal until he retired. It's now as if he has lost the only job he knows how to do.
