Art or waste?

What a class 1 pillock.

I just hope the secret location happens to have a water meter, or that the water board are able to trace him (IIRC they've said they will prosecute for wasting it, as they are expecting to put in a hosepipe ban etc).

1) Goto the bathroom

2) Turn on your cold water tap

There you go sorted no need for tickets or giving money to this guy

Don't be silly. This artist is an expert and will turn the tap on and let it run much different than any of us can do.

The only word in the dictionary to describe it is selfishness.

People do so much to save water, and that **** is just going to make all their efforts futile.

I agree with what he is saying about under-investment, but I don't agree with what he is doing.

This is why all artists should be shot on sight.

All they do is waste resources which could better used elsewhere, and call it art.

The best of it is, is somebody will pay him for his "piece of art".

I don't see the point, then again, I don't see how England of all countries can have a problem with water usage.

That's not art, he's not an artist... You can't call all art bad...

That guy is just stupid and petty... Also I bet he's a pretencious little **** who thinks hes saving the world...

In that link he went about keying random cars and calling it art :|

Firstly, art is always a 'waste' of resources. It's not productive, it's not industrious. That metal sculpture could be a car or something. The artist could be stacking shelves or something.

With that in mind, this art is just as wasteful as someone like Dan Flavin, who justr leaves flourescent lights on? (admittedly the aesthetic effect is far superior - I really like his work). Those lights could be in an office, letting someone do some work.

Frankly, as long as he's on a metered connection I'm quite happy for him to do as he pleases with the water he uses. If there is a shortage of water, then we should penalise heavy users by increasing the price, not by banning them.
