Going in in 50mins..

Hoping for
These are AS average grades from the three modules.

Maths A
Physics A
Tech A
Economics C
General Studies D

Guess which ones were lowest on my highly prioritised revision timetable?

:D :D

Maths A - 287/300
Physics A - 278/300
Tech A - 254/300
Economics B - 23x/300 -forgotten the last number
General studies B

Absolutely aced maths :D Can still get an A without even taking a module :p

Very happy! Fairly drunk still, just got back via train..

Also did better in economics and GS. Only did 30mins revision before the economics exams (all three on one day in a row with no breaks), as I had 3hrs of physics earlier in the day, and that's more important to me, so very happy with a B.

For an Meng in mechanical engineering I need AAB or AAA(uni dependant) so hopefully I'll get what I want :)

Congratulations everyone - hope you're all happy!

Awesome, I'm starting as a chartered accountant in london in mid-September :) Good luck with the job search!

Well played :D

I looked into accountancy but numbers actually bore the hell out of me. Il stick with engineering and try to get a job in the defense sector as i know i would enjoy that, then after a few years work towards my chartership and move into consultancy where the money is !

enjoy london il be down there soon enough !

you lot make me feel like a ******* tard. :(

Archaeology - D < thought i would get at least a B
Critical Thinking - U
Communications - Pass

the only thing i passed was the ******* thing in there.

AS LEVEL

A - German
A - French
A - Drama and Theatre Studies
D - English Literature :/ <--- can't believe it, got a 'U' in my poetry and drama unit.

Unfortunately, my plans of taking three languages next year are now thwarted, as i don't think i'll be able to make up the marks lost already in Eng Lit. Drama it will be!

You took 2 languages, that's cool, I wish I took French, instead of English Lit, which I failed, lol.

So DONT. I done AS's at sixth form and got:-

Computing - D
Physics - U

I then went off to college and blitzed a BTEC in Computing and am now doign a BSc in Computing Science. Dont let it knock you, i didnt, infact it gave me a kick up the arse to get working *** second time round.

Thought you guys were at pains to disassociate yourselves with that poly? :p

Trust you to notice  :p

Only because we're a small enough minority as it is, of course... :p

Yep, I've always remembered you as eXSBass! What will you be studying? Something like Physics or Engineering iirc?
Edit: Or was it architecture... rings a bell...

This man speaketh the truth. Get cracking lad!

A2s:
Computing - A
Physics - A
Maths - A

ASs:
Further Maths - C

AEAs:
Maths - merit (this was a hair's width from a distinction; I aced the entire paper except the last question :( )

The Further Maths result really annoyed me; I got As in FP1 and D1, but due to my insert for the D2 paper not being received by the exam board, I ended up with a U in D2 :(

Still, got my place at Birmingham and I'm happy :)

A2
Maths - A
Chemistry - A
Physics - B (0.5% from an A :( )

As
Design Tech - B

Needed AAA for Oxford but rang them up and said because of my interview I’m still in, got a bundle of acceptance stuff through the post today!

A2:

Maths - B
Physics - C
Philosophy - C

All better than I was expecting as I pooped up the physics coursework (got 2 B's thankfully in the exams) and thought i'd failed a couple of philosophy papers!

Not going to uni

One thing I wonder about is whether anyone has ever had a similar experience to me, in terms of getting on the face of it pretty good grades but still failing to get into their chosen uni.

I wanted to study Economics & Mathematics at Bristol, who wanted me to get an A in Maths, B in Economics and B in Physics.

Of course, I ended up with the best possible results which would prevent me from going: AAB, but the B in Maths :)

It was quite surreal really because my friends and even the head of year were saying "well done!" when they heard my results, at which point I had to explain that they actually weren't good enough to get me into my chosen uni. "Oh don't worry, phone them up and I'm sure they will have a place for you with those grades!".

But alas, that year Bristol was completely over-subscribed and therefore weren't taking ANY students who didn't make their conditional grades.

Celebrating too much has made today HANGOVER DAY, but I did just what I needed! Excellent :D

Biology A
Physics B
Chemistry B
English A
Critical Thinking B

I needed AAB including Biology and Chemistry to get in, going to Queen Mary's to do medicine in a year! :D

Congrats to all who've got what they wanted :)

Nice one but...

See earlier posts as to why you don't want Doohickey seeing that, unless he is less of a Brat in the London than some of his peers :p
