Assange to go!

Looking at the scenario in hindsight, yes. However Assange couldn't predict no one would help him fight his battle and that he would be left alone to rot. I'm sympathetic to the man - he thinks a global power wants to set him up in order to lock him away, is that not a reason to hide and seek help? It's not his fault help didn't come.

He hid from rape charges.

He hid from rape charges.
...yes?

From all the stories of his mental deterioration whilst in the embassy, smearing his feaces on the walls etc, then I would think his current state is more down to his own personal mental collapse than being tortured by the UK authorities in a UK prison.
I don't disagree, but it shouldn't be a reason to let him be pecked by the bald eagle.

Fixed for you..

The fact you call people 'Assange fanbois' shows your bias, so most people will ignore what you say on that alone.

Assange is obviously not doing well, the UK can't kill him quickly as it'll be obvious, they are making an example for others. Then, one day, after Assange has gone completely mental from the conditions he'll be found dead in a cell, probably hung from his bunk, just like Epstein, and no questions will be asked. Assange should have been released in late September but he remains in jail all for the horrendous crime of seeking asylum. He's not paranoid as there are people out to get him and this is just another fact that proves it.

Remember Hillary wanted to drone strike his ass and she was serious about it, so you would be an idiot if you think there aren't some very powerful people out there that want him dead.

How do you know the UK is killing him? Can you provide proof that he isn't just depressed and not eating? Why would they bother starving him in full view of the prison population, why is it that only his allies have defended this conspiracy and not the other prisoners?

The yanks can to an exchange deal. We give them Assange and they give us Anne Sacoolas.

If not. Tell them to do one.

I agree with the sentiment but Sacoolas is very small fry compared to Assange.. If the UK does the right thing then they should release Assange as they can't guarantee his saftey as the USA tortures people, the have Guantanamo and black sites with Extraordinary Rendition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extraordinary_rendition

The Lawyers will find a way to get him there in time, if he's not already dead by then.

I wouldn't say outright it's the UK, more like the UK is doing it for the US as we all know we are there lapdog these days. Assange should NOT be in jail, his time has been served, wouldn't you be depressed if you were kept in jail indefinitely with no end in site? If they kill him with a knife/rope or conditions they are slowly killing him, a person can only take so much before they break, and I think, judging from what I am reading, he's getting close to it.

The blog article was an interesting read. It sounds like Julian is being prepared for the 2020 election season.

e: That said, I decided earlier this year or so to finally take a look at the Wikileaks site it seems everyone knows about to see what some of the fuss was about after a tv documentary or two on Julian Assange, Australian, on the Australian national broadcaster. I will say that I believe there is some material on there that should not have been published.

I haven't seen any evidence that Assange is unwell. The video smuggled out of Belmarsh showed him in good health and good spirits, mixing happily with fellow inmates and showing off his cell.

My disdain for Assange is no secret, and I don't care how other people feel about that. The irony is that I used to like Assange; I absolutely support everything that Wikileaks did during its glory days, before he went completely off the rails.

And yet, for some strange reason, he has remained alive all this time. How curious!

He's in jail because he's a flight risk. Sajid Javid signed the US extradition order in June, and now Assange is being granted his time in court to fight it.

Ahahaha, Craig Murray! That guy has the credibility of Alex Jones. :D

He claims Assange is held in solitary confinement, only released for 1 hour a day, and never permitted to mix with other prisoners. Yet a video released by a fellow inmate proves that all of this is false.

Here's Assange chatting happily with one of his prison buddies while showing off his surprisingly spacious room, complete with what looks like a small TV:

Assange freely walks around other areas with prisoners; no sign of special conditions here.

I would imagine he's lost weight for the same sort of reason a lot of people lose weight when in prison, worry and not liking the food.

Mind you the fact he's voluntarily spent years sat in a room hiding from justice probably hasn't helped his general fitness, mental health or weight, 15kg sounds a lot, but if you've put on weight due to several years of limited activity it may not be much compared to pre hiding in a cupboard weights (you might only have dropped a few kg below your original weight).

Likewise his "walking with a limp" doesn't mean much, he's probably getting more exercise in prison and doing a lot more walking than he's done for years, and his age* or a minor temporary injury might be causing it (I've been walking funny for much of the last few months - I pulled my back badly and and ended up walking like Lurch as it was the least painful way to move).

And if you think Hillary Clinton would have considered a drone trike on him, whilst he was in the UK, especially whilst he was in an Embassy I've got a nice selection of Bridges I need to get rid off quickly, and some lovely, historical waterfront property in Westminister that's up for a song as it needs refurbishment.

*Things like arthritis or a dodgy knee/hip joint might be starting to show (he's late 40's).

Omg he looks like he's on the verge of death after torture and starvation!.....

He is let out of his cell for 1 hour per day for exercise so it may have happened then. t looks like a couple of prisoners are trying to help Assange clean up his room a bit, Assange doesn't look too bad here but remember this was released shortly after his arrest, maybe 1-2 months after, and he has been deteriorating all the time. Look at the state of his room at the end of the video, does a normal person keep their 23 hour a day living space that untidy - and that seems after the inmates have helped him clean and wash his plates..

He's had nearly 8 years of the American establishment on his back, to be completely honest I'm surprised he didn't break sooner

I suspect you've been there much more than I..

No she didn't, that never happened.
Yes it did, people thought she was joking but she was serious.. Don't use google and get some credible news sources.

Not for much longer has been my point which you are willfully ignoring.

Keep on deluding yourself, I'll give you another 5 years and you might just get to see what you are missing - wisdom takes time.

My guess is he's hoping to avoid getting sent to the US on a mental health human rights ticket. There's been several hacking trials in the UK where it was ruled that it would be against their human rights to deport suspects because of mental health reasons and a risk of suicide. Gary McKinnon and Lauri Love being the two main ones I can remember off the top of my head.
