The key phrase is "informed consent", a person may consent to the risks of sex with a condom, but not to the risk of sex without a condom. So if he deliberately tampered with the condom or continued having sex after it ripped by itself then it is rape by any common sense definition.

It just seems outlandish to you because the scenario of somebody being on the run from the police in an easily siege-able yet completely impenetrable location that they know the location of almost never happens.
I mean technically speaking it was Assange who convinced everyone (bar conspiracy theorists) he was a rapist when he committed rape then owned up to it (remember his defence has never been that he didn't do it, but that he doesn't personally consider it to be rape, despite it being rape in Sweden, the UK and his home country of Australia).
No, he's spent 7 years in self imposed house arrest in an attempt to dodge a rape investigation, it's different. He was free to leave at any time, after which (for the majority of his stay) he would have served a short jail term for bail violation before being sent to Sweden, at which point he would either have been cleared and released or convicted and imprisoned, either way he would be a free man by now and at home, he has nobody to blame for his poor life choices than himself.
The truly hilarious thing about it is, that the situation he now finds himself in is 100% of his own making, if he had never gone to the embassy or come out years ago then (as above) he would be at home by now chilling, hell it wasn't even possible for the US to request his extradition back then as Sweden had first dibs and they would never extradite him to the US when they were finished with him. However because he spent all those years ranting that it was a big US conspiracy to try and whip people onto his side, one of the CT nuts he convinced was Donald Trump who became president while he was in the embassy and now wants him extraditing.
You couldn't make it up, Assange has literally written the self fulfilling prophecy of how he destroyed his life xD

They know news is going to drop, Barr/Durham/Huber/Horowitz have been getting to the bottom of it all. There is absolutely no other reason they would cover his death beyond getting ahead of damaging information for their narrative. If Seth Rich leaked the info from the DNC, the entire Russia narrative falls apart completely. The only thing they have tying Russia to “election meddling” is Crowd Strike’s investigation on a “clone” of the server. The FBI knew immediately the server wasn't hacked by Russians or anyone else, that story was a total fabrication to cover for the fact it was an inside job
