Yep BBC reporting. He's a freedom fighter to some and a villain to others.
Why???
No news on what he's been arrested for.
Whisked away and soon to appear before magistrates, seems dodgy to me.

BBC are saying he's been arrested for falling to appear at court. Being taken to the next available court is the standard next step.
He was on bail when he claimed asylum from the Ecuadorian embassy.
Edit: Also, the arrest warrant has been active since 2018.
