Assassins Creed Brotherhood PC release dates (UK: March 18th)

EDIT- At least i am not going mad. Apparantly it is a feature/bug of the game and lots of people are experiencing it. Even on the consoles!! and it hasn't been fixed. Lots of people reporting top 1/3 of screen seeming washed aout and hazy.

It is slightly ruining my enjoyment of the game though:( I can't help but notice it all the time now

Is it down to the refresh rate of TV's if it affects consoles particularly?
I've just loaded up the game and I definitely have no such glitches on my 2ms Samsung as described , have you a monitor to try instead of a TV maybe?

TN panel TV? get an IPS monitor :D

multiplayer is simply awesome! lvl 24 at the moment, enjoying Manhunt and Wanted very much. love to lure my pursuer to kill the wrong target. best part is playing with people's minds, morph a group of people to your own persona and watch confused pursuer walk around you like a lemon, and then stun the git.

No, it's the same on my monitor mate. If you look up, everything looks very good, very sharp. But if you look straight ahead, the same thing appears hazy on the top 1/3 of the screen

Just started to play and it's downloaded a patch, nothing graphical tho

Patch 1.02 fixes

Single + Multiplayer
- Fixes an issue that prevents user settings and game progress from being saved if the user's Windows login name contains unicode characters.
- Fixes an issue where users could not add friends whose name contains dot characters.

Multiplayer
- Changed network communication port to 7917 in order to bypass some ISPs' restrictions.

I just started it last night, like it a lot. Pighardia, I too get the darkness/fogginess towards the top of the screen, also 5850 on a TV. It is like it is forcing you to look up to see things clearer rather than watch where you are going.

As said only started last night, what are the consequences, if any, for not getting 100% sync in memories?

You get the chance to replay them if you want, apart from that there's no obvious drawback to not getting 100% sync as far as I can see.

Sync determines the point at which certain memories will become available (Brutus' armour and dagger, and the Christina plot spring to mind). It's not worth driving yourself up the wall trying to get 100% on everything first time but, for example, I didn't get the posh armour/dagger until very near the end of the main story.

I can't say I've noticed it on a GTX 580 so it might be an ATI driver vs Ubi HDR issue.
I'm using a GTX 480 and get it too. I've tried a few different drivers but with no joy, although it doesn't really bother now.

Slightly OT, out of all the drivers that I've tested 270.51 are by far the best in terms of performance.

270.51 are good yeah overall for gaming but i got the wierd flicker issue i mentioned earlier in this thread with them....think it's something to do anti aliasing though or an odd game glitch.

Well I got a shock when I had been merrily playing away and I had no idea I was playing the end of the game till the credits rolled

I still have shops to open, various items to collect for shop quests, at least one more Leonardo quest (not got the parachute yet) and loads of other stuff to play.
Had I known better I would have declined some of the memories for the key of the castle after the Colosseum which eventually led on towards Desmond in the modern day part2.
So beware as I thought I could activate some of the earlier 50% syncs and carry on from there but it wasn't possible.
luckily I have a restore programme installed and used it to go back 2 days where I can carry on and complete the other stuff :D

Should let you save and carry on playing the game (It did for me anyway) You just have to watch ALL the credits till it's done rolling, should then jump you back in to the game.
