Assassins Creed Brotherhood PC release dates (UK: March 18th)

Not had much time on this yet due to work commitments....
But what i have played is great.... follows on from AC2 which is perfectly fine with me.
All settings maxed with 16AA and 16AF forced through CP.... looks glorious.... (60FPS)
Might go back through AC2 once more before committing time to this though... as i want to see AC2 in all its glory on my new 480 SoC....:D
Anybody know of any further tweaks ? ( especially to shadow quality ).
 
Just finished this - best game I have played in a while. Like many I completely ignored the franchise after the snore-fest of the first game. After reading a fair few reviews saying that the series gets much better, I took a punt and bought AC 2 and Brotherhood.

They are pretty straightforward consoley action/platform/puzzle games but they are very good at it. Some things could be better, compounded by the fact I don't have an X-Block controller, but nonetheless, I really got into them. It is ridiculously easy, though.
 
Spending far to much time on this game! One of the best games i've played in a while!
Combat it to easy though but if they made it any more difficult the control mechanisms would need vastly improving.
Lost 2 of my Assassins last night that were at level 7, that was mildly annoying to say the least! :(
 
don't know about anyone else, but it feels slightly less immersive than AC2.
i'm not getting Rome in the same way that i got Rennaissance Italy in AC2.
Not that i am not enjoying it, but the story hasn't really been set up that well imo. If i hadn't played AC2, i would have no idea what was going on tbh.

ATM, i am only 3 hours in though.

Also, i must be doing something wrong, as the textures do not look that great for me, and it looks a bit washed out, especially outside. And it changes too quickly throughout the day for me.

Completely maxing it out with a 5850 btw

It definitely grows on you, I was a bit unsure if it was just more of the same and of course in many ways it is but there's also a lot more different stuff to do this time.
Whereas I got tired of opening endless treasure chests last time simply because I already had loads of money I find that you now need to open them all because there's often more than just money in them.
Definitely the most enjoyable game for many a day for me.:D

Just got this in the post today. Will start to play next week when my new 5850 should be here (from the super special offer).

Looking forward to it.

Also, the game could really do with a patch imo, but that will come, i'm sure.

Another thing which is slightly annoying me is the graphics.
To me, it doesn't look as good as it does on the 360!!!!!!! most of the textures look better, but some of them look much worse imo
I think it has something to do with the atmospherics and weather .
i can be running along, and the sky will suddenly change colour, which will completely change the way the game looks. When there is a red sky, it looks terrible to me. Generally, it does look very nice, but this is annoying me a bit, as i really notice it

btw, it takesa while to get going as well!!

Mine has been patched already but don't know what it altered, I haven't seen a single glitch so far
I have everything maxed out graphically and it looks superb but it's only at my monitors max res of 1280
 
the main glitch is with the weather. Does anyone else find that it just changes from bright to dark etc in an instant?
It is very off-putting, and it completely changes the way the game looks.
 
Yeah it's one thing I wasn't keen on - when you cross a bridge in Rome, for example, the lighting changes and everything goes from a blueish tinge to a yellowish tinge.
 
right. i'm loving the game so far, but this issue with the graphics is starting to really annoy me. Apart from the atmosphere changing when you cross bridges etc. there is something else which seems strange to me.
the top half of my screen seems more washed out than the bottom:confused:
when standing in the street looking at, say, a building, if you have the building in the bottom half of the screen, so the camera is right behind your head, then it is very sharp,and looks great.
But, if you then move the camera so that you are looking more down on the character, so that the building is then in the top half of the screen, then it looks really washed out and faded. it happens in doors as well, whilst in a corridor in one of the missions, where it was very dark, the difference was very noticable.

Any ideas?

i'm using my tv, and it's fine for other games.
I was thinking that it may be a setting somewhere that can be changed in a config file or something, but, without a guide, i am lost;)

in one of those Assassin's tomb things earlier(can't remember exactly what they are called in this one) the difference was very noticable. in front of me was black, and as you pan the camera up, it turns greyer as you go:confused:

Back to the game though. Very much enjoying it now! its just a slight niggle that, now i have noticed it, i can't help but noticing all the time
 
I think it's the lighting. when you have the camera angle so that it is looking straight ahead, everything looks fine.
When you have it so that it is slightly looking down on Ezio, it's like a light has suddenly been shone on everything, and it all looks washed out and a bit hazy. Is it just happening for me?

EDIT- At least i am not going mad. Apparantly it is a feature/bug of the game and lots of people are experiencing it. Even on the consoles!! and it hasn't been fixed. Lots of people reporting top 1/3 of screen seeming washed aout and hazy.

Why would they have done this, as AC2 did not have this problem! The game would look amazing if it wasn't for this problem.
The fact that it doesn't appear for everyone is weird though:confused:

It is slightly ruining my enjoyment of the game though:( I can't help but notice it all the time now

Except this game doesnt require a constant internet connection, just a connection on install which is the norm nowadays. Which means the quoted person was jumping the gun.
 
anyone else think the ceaser character model and voice acting are excellent?

finished most of the game up now really (cba collecting flags)

only problem I had the whole way through was in the davinci DLC had a graphics bug when im trying to climb up a pillar the screen turns grey until I climb back down
watched a youtube video of it and im doing everything right but just get this glitch

very good gamage for £23 havent tried the MP yet either
