Assassin's Creed Mirage

I hope its good.

I loved valhalla and currently playing through origins, I'm a aware it's much older but it feels really dumbed down compared to valhllah.
Repetitive fetch quests and raid the fort or whatever, but you can just whistle and assassinate everyone, rince and repeat ad infinium.

Total grind fest... I'll probably loose interest in it before I'm 50% through.

The actual story in Valhalla was superb ...

The way it all tied into Basim and William/Desmond Miles and the civilization destroying solar flare

I'm always up for AC, never fails to provide me with a few hundred hours of gaming

I literally haven't bought/played any of the AC games since Black Flag, which I absolutely loved. I see there is much debate about which of of the most recent ones is best... any recommendations on which one(s) might entertain me given the last new PC game I played is Death Stranding?

It’s just a shame many of the regions were so dragged out. Not all, some were fantastic, but others were ‘escort this guy for week’. It ended on a high, but I was dragging myself to the finish line. Many good hours of gaming though and lots to do for those who want it.

More gameplay, looks great to me - I've personally enjoyed the last three even if they haven't necessarily been what AC is all about, this one looks like a throw back to the old ones.

This is will be my fifth AC game Collector's Edition I own, and Pre-order it 2022 :D

Origins is my favourite from the recent games, I just love the setting and the world, the main protagonist is great and there's not too much clutter and extra rubbish like managing a settlement. I completed all the DLCs too which is quite rare for me.

Odyssey I enjoyed but was a bit too long, was happy to finish it, again, great setting.

Valhalla, meh. The world is boring, there are too many mechanics, systems and different things getting in the way of just sneaking about progressing the story.

Really like the look of Mirage, can't wait personally.

I'll be the outlier and recommend all three of the 'new-age' ACs - they're all fantastic. I know people think Valhalla went on a little bit too much, and I would agree, but think they're all fantastic.

This new AC game, just looks like a remake/ remastered version of the first game. I'll be giving this one a miss.

What happened to the main storyline with Abstergo, is that even apart of the game anymore?

Kind of but there's much less of it. Most hated this part of the game, it's the story ARC which kept me playing them so I was bummed when it got put on the back burner.

I'll give Mirage a try, Valhalla was okay but it was about 50 hours too long.

Orignal AC games - Average
London - fun, but bit dull
Black Flag - pretty epic
Origins - Fun change, decent
Oydessy - pretty great 400 hours+ in this
Valhalla - trash - viking game without being a decent viking... weapon types dull very fast, my gf a none gamer completed it on very hard with just dual spears & found it easy...

This seems like you say a remake of OLD AC games, so ill miss this, Waiting for the AC world game idea where they have all AC types in 1 game like they announced (bit like BF2042)

This is looking sweet and tasty - a few early access playthroughs on youtube. Should be out early next month. Back to basics assassining for the win.

It was the Witcher 3 that put the last 3 assassin's creed games on this path.

They saw the success of the Witcher 3 and decided to make assassin's creed also open world.

Origins was good, Odyssey was ok but Valhalla was poor.

The issue is mostly the quests are just simple go here, get this and return.

Over and over again.

So maybe a more focused assassin's creed game like mirage will be a good change of pace.

I'm cautiously excited but really I'm waiting to see just how different it truly is

I will say though, that statue in the collectors edition is seriously cool
