Assassin's Creed Mirage

I feel like I'm in the minority but I love the new longer AC games. I didn't play Origins but Odyssey was a blast and I enjoyed all 190 hours I spent with it. Valhalla wasn't as good but it still took about 160-180 hours of my time and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Ezio trilogy is still my favourite AC games arc but the gameplay for Odyssey and Valhalla were great

There's not been an AC I've disliked thus far, this will no doubt be the same. The only thing I would agree on is that I'd like for Ubisoft to ship a finished product for once in their lifetime, but that's not a criticism aimed just at Ubi.

I was all on board from 1 - Revelations. AC3 I gave up after a couple of hours and I don't think I made Black Flag past more than a few hours either.. I really enjoyed Unity and Syndicate though.

Odyssey pulled me right back in though. I knew I was in for a good time once I realised that first Island I spent 4 hours on was nothing more induction.

Oh wow really? Black Flag was one of my favourites. I've probably got 100+ hours in most and 2-300+ hours in the latest 3. Probably be a few months until I play Mirage though, as don't have much time and a huge backlog.

Assasins Creed Mirage vs Valhalla

Playtime: 10 hours vs dozens of hours
Map size: 2.5km2 vs 140km2
Number of side quests and events: 12 vs 100

Mirage is a very short game that takes place in a very small world with nothing much to explore, has very little to do outside of the story unless you enjoy ripping posters off walls and other meaningless junk like the first few AC games

The gameplay seems ok but for a game that doesn't do anything new and the only thing worth doing is the story which could be done in as little as 7 to 8 hours, I'll leave this for a steep sale, paying Ubisoft's $49.99usd asking price is pure madness

Yeah, I bought the Gold Editions of AC Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla but I wont get AC Mirage, even standard version, at full price, its why I am getting it for £13 on Ubi+ instead.

Interestingly, I've seen a few streamers this evening who were very much pro-old style AC and werent as keen on the newer AC style, who having now played AC Mirage have discovered that there was some rose-tinted glasses thing going on and that they just didnt enjoy returning to the old style AC and rather missed the more actioney RPG style of AC Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla. So a few people out there today with cases of the "I thought I wanted the old style back , but actually discovered that I didnt"
