Just fired this up again after not playing for about a month (moving house). Downloaded latest updates as looks like there's been a few, and it still crashes to desktop when I access the Abilities or inventory screen in the menu. Other menu stuff is fine, just those 2. It did this before.
Is this a well known bug, any ideas for a fix?

Using appropriately recent graphics drivers? I had a CTD at first before I updated to newer nVidia drivers.

Using 388.31 nvidia drivers. I doubt it's driver related as it's a very specific crash, but i guess it can't hurt to try the latest ones (388.71?)....

Got the ISU armor over the weekend and I like it but I don't at the same time. With the hood up Bayek sounds way too robotic.

I've played for 37h and I'm still only a mere level 31 !!!

Any tips to speed the last 9 levels up ? Don't get me wrong, love the game and I do spend a bit too much time sight seeing but I want to have a go at the Trials of the Gods !!

5820k with gtx 1080 2560x1440 55-75 fps, everything maxed out. game occasionly stuttered with unlocked frame rate when the game dropeed from 75-60 so locked it to 60 in settings, now real smooth and looks great. Havent bothered to update my gfx drivers that might stop the 55 fps dips not that i notice any stutter when it does.

Do as many of the side quests as you can stomach. That's what I did.

Yeah I've done everything in every zone I've come through and just finished Krokodopolis and hit 39 nearly 40.

Did the trials of the god last night at 38 and it wasn't too bad once you work the tactics out. When I logged off the weekly challenge was nearly at 50k already, can't imagine it'll take much longer to get finished. Sadly I doubt I'll get the outfit this time around as it was my first trails, the sword is pretty amazing though so it's not all bad.

my game crashes all the time, during gameplay mainly. latest patch, latest nvdia drivers etc. i can play 15 mins or 3 hrs before crashes, its so random. anyone else having the same issue?

Temps? In 35 hours of playing I've only had 1 issue where it didn't pull me out of the loading screen when I fast traveled.

PC temps do you mean? fine, i'm running a ryzen 7 at stock under the wraith. my gtx 1080ti is also at stock levels. no issues in other games at all. wolfenstein ran perfectly. just ACO thats really bugging me.

Shadows for me, I always turn down shadows as I have never focussed on shadows in games and they often can be fairly gpu intensive these days.

I honestly thought I'd finished the game this evening. But it turns out there's more. Did the anubis trial as well and got a rather nice sword.

Yup one of the first settings I reduce.

Environmental quality also has a bit of a bit too especially for weaker CPUs.

Yeah, but with the exception of a couple of them, they are best dealt with when at the same level or higher.
