Assassin’s Creed Origins

I had a bit of a random (weird) thought the other day. When someone enters the Animus and the simulation begins, whose consciousness is present? Is Layla essentially watching things unravel through the eyes of Bayek, or is she in complete control and simply acting out the life he had?

I think technically your viewing the memories and watching things unravel. In previous games playing certain missions would be labelled playing memory sequence XYZ or something like that.

There's supposedly a new theory with that, certain things in this may change things.

Just rudely barging in, I've played the first AssCreeds up to brotherhod, then been on a bit of a hiatus and missed everything in between, reckon I could dive into Origins?

Yeah will not be an issue. Is set way back in the past before the other ones, so not missing anything from the whole overarching Templar / Assassin story really as its not all that relevant and the real world stuff is light enough, so nothing big will be missing from a story POV either.

Nice cheers mate, I was a bit worried the story would keep carrying one and be deeply interlinked like the first few. Some people have spoiled revelation for me which gave me an idea that the story would cut

It's essential the origin story of Assassin's Creed, so definitely not missing anything by starting with it.

Looking forward to the DLC, haven't 100%ed the map yet but finished the story and Anubis stuff and most quests. Need moar.

Haha yes! That's what I was thinking. And I like your play style, I'm also the kinda guy to run a fine comb through the entire map, that's why it took me 2 years to finish 2, then another couple years for Brotherhood XD

i7700k, 1080Ti, 4k. Would I be able to achieve constant 60fps with settings lowered and 4k? Thanks.

I have a few minor dips to high 40s at the busiest of times with mine.

Just experienced my first sand storm! Wow I am impressed graphically. The newest patch is working a treat!

Also: pure coincidence that we have a sandstorm brewing now, nothing quite to that scale mind you!

After the latest update this ******* game still crashes to desktop when I access the menu inventory section or abilities section. As before all other sections of the menu cause no crashes and the game runs really well for me (5930k at 4.4, 1080Ti, x34). Has been like this with the specific menu crashes since day one. Getting really annoyed now, making me not want to play it.

I'm using 388.31 drivers too. I've tried verifying all the files or whatever uplay calls it. What on earth can I do to fix it?????
