Assassin's Creed Syndicate thread.

Admittedly in this case I grabbed it from CDkeys which usually increases the price as it gets closer to release date, so feel like I am making a saving, if it is only a quid or so :D That and as I mentioned I totally missed the release date for the PC being later.

I wanted it from cdkey too, but there only doing the uplay version. I wanted the Steam one. I know you still have to go through uplay through steam, but better through steam first.

As usual with AC games, I'm tempted to get Syndicate for the setting alone, even though I know the game might turn out to be a bit cack.
There are people selling relatively cheap Bullets or Blades codes but I'm still hesitant.

I want to play it, but through steam.

But wont it always launch through Uplay either way? Pretty certain the Uplay client will open up either way and achievements and what not will be on the Uplay account rather then steam. I would have thought just getting it on Uplay would be better as you don't need steam and Uplay open.

As tempted as I am by Syndicate's setting, I think I'll wait for PC reviews/performance analysis. I've been stupid recently and bought Arkham Knight so I've learnt my lesson. Very enjoyable game but it dips to bloody 36fps in certain areas, regardless of settings or resolution.

Just read up on the story so far - the whole story. What a convoluted mess!
I may pick this up for the gameplay and multiplayer, definitely not the story.

The last one I played was brotherhood which had the best mp I've ever experienced in 3rd person. Anyone know if they continued with that style of mp in subsequent releases?

Sorry to hijack, but those that have played, has the hook and cable thing ruined it? I love Unity but feel the hook and grapple will remove all elements of exploration.

I haven't played the game yet ,but saw a review and they said the grapple makes climbing a little easier. Which could be a good thing because climbing did my head in sometimes. So making it easier for me at least is a huge plus.

Actually this can cause an issue with buying dlc on steam (I.e. you can't) since it doesn't recognise you own the base game

So a total non issue as long as you understand what "Non Steam game" means then? You buy on Uplay you only own it on Uplay, adding it to your Steam library only means it'll run through Steam so you can have Steam overlay and features.

Exactly, we're still forced to launch the game through Uplay so there's no much point in adding it as a non-Steam title as I'd rather not have to run it through Steam AND Uplay at the same time (unless you absolutely need the overlay):p

Nah, I think I like 1440p more and 900p at 30fps with drops is a bit ancient but thanks for the valuable input:p I had a PS3, loved it and, unlike its successor, it was actually pretty powerful when it came out. Shoudn't have fed the troll but oh, well;p
