Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Everytime I see a PC game release date, I always push it back 6 months, so I’m not buying a bug ridden demo
I have played this game for 140 hours, had no crashes or any real issues. This lip sync is the most annoying to look at and the other one that affected me was the quiver capacity defaulting to Base which was fixed with a boat trip.

I would say that this game is very good for bugs/stability.

Yeah it's been pretty solid for me as well. Almost 90 hours and I've had about 4 or 5 crash-to-desktop and 3 of those happened when I tried to raid a monastery.

I have played 107 hours now and I think could count on one hand the crashes to desktop, so not bad at all for the content time played. They must be working flat out on the downloadable content/expansions as most of these bugs we are finding are trivial to fix if its the same engine as the previous few releases. Quite true though as mentioned, its normally a few months after release that a solid experience is patched.

From what I see there is a lot of unfinished areas still to implement like the skills tree, customisation and the armour/weapons still need some tweaks.

I had an issue last night that was mildly annoying. Was doing a story mission and I had to get a key to open a door. The key wouldn't drop so I had to reload it and do it again.

Still loving it though

The story is great, now there is nothing to do but wait for River raid that comes out Feb-Mar:)

Completed the main story last night, today got the final legendary animal and Daughter, still missing on or two bits in all areas (no more coloured dots though).

Overall I loved virtually every one of the 152 hours I spent in the game. I may even get some DLC when it arrives which I have never done for an Assassins Creed game.

Just got the map of England completed today. It says I am about 86% complete, I dont think I have much of Asgarde area to do either. What Im deflated about so far is I am almost maxed out on the skills tree, but pretty solid with only partial gear sets and items slightly buffed. It does not seemed to have scaled well, was this an oversight or typical of the AC games?

Haven't played AC for quite a while, since the 2nd one. All other just got on sale and played for few minutes, before giving up bored.
Quite impressed with this one.
Regarding bugs, played quite a lot and not an issue here. Some comments make one expect it to be as BF5, which I tried to play few weeks ago and even the 3090 is poor (considering) on DX12.

I Like that there is less loot. They went overboard with odyssey so that it all became meaningless in the end. Loot was boring as you could transmog everything anyway so it was just a tiny boost in a stat.

I'm valhalla it actually means something and finding a new piece of gear is a big deal.
Agree with this.

Think I'm starting to get a bit burned out. 91 hours in 59% complete.

Never had this feeling in my 180 hours of Odyssey. Probably as there was more to do/upgrade, the fun arena fights, mercenary system, naval combat, Changing control from Athens to Sparta etc.

Seems they've taken a lot out of Valhalla which made Odyssey so fun
