Assetto Corsa OcUK TT Challenge! *Season 3*

I was thinking of getting one of those USB powered "warm plates" but Petey has promised no more expedition-length circuits so I should be ok. :D
I promised nothing!
We're doing the Nords endurance layout next week, followed by Lake Louise to warm you up for the Isle of Man.

Edit: @Uncle Petey Are you using the v311 64 bit driver for your pedals, as found here: https://www.fanatec.com/eu-en/support/product;old_product_id;59

I'm definitely going to get amongst it this week guys. Fired up Assetto and been modding like a crazy man since Sunday. I love Content Manager :). Just been doing the BTCC 100% AI career mod, loving it.

The more the merrier, welcome aboard. Just don't drink all the beer. :)

None of these clever mugs and drinking hats for me, I just drink bottled beer so even in VR I can cop a swig on long straights :)

Have they invented VR sensor visible bottle tags yet, to hang around the bottle neck? I'd knock it all over the place otherwise (not that I have VR yet).

For VR you want one of those cups that you can't knock over.

I cracked my phone screen last week thanks to VR. Knocked over my vape mod & it hit the corner of the screen... Lesson learned.

Cool idea, I'm patenting that lol. I just make sure the bottle is always in the same place, I'm not one to spill beer :)

Haha. We'll call it VbeeR. We could even code an avatar of a bottle that appears in the virtual space. Imagine that - a bottle of beer in your virtual cockpit. James Hunt would approve. :D

Or you could just remember where you put things. Seems to work for me :p

Nah, drinking invisible fluid from an invisible container breaks the immersion.

Of course you'd need VR sensor visible gloves too because a floating bottle would be a bit wierd. The gloves would also be handy for giving other drivers, ahem, "gestures". :)

Use a Camelback or similar so you have a drinks tube in your virtual cockpit, sorted!

Great idea, very similar to what real racers use although I doubt they have pale ale in theirs. "Full immersion".

Edit:
The wheel and pedals have arrived! Even without connecting them up, I'm impressed. There's quite some heft to the pedals and the wheel feels great in the hands. My poor Logitech Momo seems very Fisher Price in comparison.

Can anyone with either a Fanatec GT3 (V1 or V2) or CSR wheel confirm the spec of their power brick please? Is Input: 100-240v 50/60Hz 1.5A max. Output: 24v 2.5a positive centre pin correct? Cheers.

I must say, the pedals look a bit swish. I'll drill holes in the shelf and hard-mount them once I'm happy with the position but I've wedged a couple of logs behind them for now. :)
