Assetto Corsa OcUK TT Challenge! *Season 3*

I have the Formula Hybrid 2018 (with the 2017 bundled for free) and RSS GT pack downloading now. No SSL errors here.

Just taken the magnet bars out of the clutch and accelerator again to give them a quick oiling. They were a bit squeaky after yesterday's clean. Much better now.

Metal, servicable sim pedals - madness I tell thee.

I saw them for £129 earlier (at a well known high street white/electrical goods store's website). They sold out very quickly. Great deal.

I think it was a couple of years ago, I’m sure they were going for £99 on the high street. Pretty much sold out every store then they were all up on eBay.

Had an early Christmas present, a DAS for my Vive. I love it.

Had a few beers watching the rugby, about to hit the track.

Cheers, had trouble hearing the engine revs - it's a bit quiet compared to last week's Ferrari.

The gauntlet has been thrown down! :D

Edit:
I'm only a few days in with these pedals but the load cell brake is a revelation. With my old pedals it was a case of judging how far to push, with my foot gingerly adjusting forward and back, wheras with these it's how hard to push, which is much easier, plus there's a lot more useful feedback from this wheel, particularly from lockups and understeer, than the old Logitech Momo could muster.

Nice times there, Petey! Unfortunately my session was cut very short last night as my pedals went full-Fanatec: the throttle calibration issue returned. I think I've managed to work around it though, by reducing the top end of the range of the throttle with the in-game throttle calibration slider. At 83% I seem to get the full range of throttle even when it goes funny, at the expense of physical pedal travel, of course.

I have a couple of car setup tweaks to experiment with, mainly for S2 (Copse and Maggots and Becketts) but I don't know if I'll get on before the weekly changeover.

It's been a fun week though, I've really enjoyed it. :)

Same issue and solution with mine...

Not sure where that time came from tbh. I was having trouble beating your time to begin with, but made a few tweaks and eventually learned to drive it a bit more smoothly.
Wasn't expecting to get into the low 30's.

Here's my setup if you want to try it.
Save it as a .ini file in notepad and put it in Documents\Assetto Corsa\setups\asr_1991_williams_fw14\ks_silverstone

Thanks Petey, I'll give them a try if I get a chance. When playing about sorting the throttle issue out I managed a low 1:32.2 after some slight adjustments but by then it was getting late.

Yeah, I can see where I'd get a couple of seconds maybe but 7, I'm not so sure. That's quick.

@Yadda Might be worth seeing if Fanatec can give/sell you some new sensors.

Funnily enough I contacted them over the weekend asking for a price on new sensors, PCB and magnet axles. They replied today saying they no longer stock them but I could send my pedals to them for testing and if their engineer deemed any parts are faulty then they could source new parts from complete units they have on one side. I replied asking if they could simply get those parts and sell them to me. No reply yet.

'Kinell, it's character building stuff this. :)

Any idea why I have no paddles in online mode? Tried it in offline practice mode and they work. Reboots wheel restarts and reconfig makes no difference.

Edit:
Just tried a different online doo-dah and the shifters worked. Tried the ocuk server again and they didn't. @Uncle Petey, is it possible that the server needs a nudge? Probably not worth it now though seeing as we're moving on this evening. Hey-ho, onwards and upwards. (and it's way past me tea and I'm Hank Marvin. :D)
